This has a good line up of mechanical appreciation and relationship with the man of operation; the order of expression is so, so in the perspective of realistic decision making; a good going work with personalized interest for movement; well said, well done, post god speed more, share post not 4 self-joy-pride but 4 God and readers worldwide Alcreator Litt Dear (DR)

The( deliberate) confusion about the names was funny .This may strike chord in many readers. Sales persons can often go overboard in their enthusiasm to con money from the victims
Loved the twist in the end .it was totally unexpected

This dialogue only story is really funny. I went to that same auto mechanic after I purchased my first car. If my husband hadn't gone back to the mechanic with me, I would have thought my car was falling apart. This story may be fiction, but up-selling really happens. Thanks for the afternoon smile.

Hi Bill,
So, Mrs. J was actually Roger's boss, and testing him on picking apart a poor misfortunate (sucker) customer. You had me fooled once again. In fact, Mrs. J was actually quite a crook!
My favorite line,
"My chauffer will be here with the Rolls in a few minutes."

Nicely penned!
Cheers,
Kimbob

I absolutely love the creative humor you have written. In all humor, there must be an element or kernel of truth. You have provided a story that most folks would consider possible, or maybe it has already happened to them. Excellent work. Terry.

It has been a long time since an up sale was pitch to me. Who does that? Leaf gutter salespersons? Home and car warranty repairs services? Car dealerships? Politicians.

I recall the bait and switch at Sears. This item is advertised to be on sale, but not in stock, but another, at a higher cost, is everywhere..............................................

That's true, many did. I cannot recall stores having rainchecks back in the day.

Hello Bill,
this was hilarious! I loved all the mispronunciations of the name. I was laughing as I read this. For some reason your stories aren't coming up for me, though I'm following you. I just happened to look at chapters and stories and saw this. Well done buddy.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

A great story, and a nice twist to it - a fun read. Well done!

Typos: "chauffeur" and "our lead mechanic" should be followed by a comma, not a period.

Oh, that sounds so familiar! Been there but refused the T-shirt! lol. Men do think that women have less than half a brain with it comes to cars, but some of us can actually teach them a thing or two! This is so funny, though, especially as it's the Boss, who is all woman, that he's practicing on! Now she is what I call a 'traitor' LOL, but she won't care, she's the one who's picking up the money for her Rolls Royce! Where have I gone so wrong all my life?? Well done, my friend! :)) Sandra xxx

It really does, doesn't it? You're really good at these little stories. I've missed a few mainly because I've been ill, but I'll try to keep up with them again. xxx

This sounds like something I've experienced when I went to a place I didn't know. Really irritated me, so I can believe they practice how to get the most out of a customer. Good writing.
