I very much enjoyed this, Terry, and I think it works just find without the speech marks, which would have got complicated and distracting with somebody reciting dialogue within speech. There's simplicity in truth, and truth in simplicity, and I like that you allow the tale to tell itself.
Lovely.

Mike, thank you for the review, and you got it just right. I tried it with the quote marks, and it was not going to work. Thanks, Terry.

Terry, this is a story with a beautiful sentiment. The text is a great size. The content is a great lesson in being generous to others. As the old spiritual lyrics are written, "Nobody knows the trouble I see, nobody knows but Jesus".
We all need at some point in our lives help from others. We need to keep that in mind. Thanks for sharing this lovely story with us.

You didn't make me laugh; you made me cry. This is a lovely story about kindness and generosity. You are a storyteller with few writers as good as you.

This was a beautiful story. I am glad you chose to tell it. You really are wonderful at posting nonfiction, and this true story (with elements of fiction) was no exception. Thank you for sharing once more, and best wishes to you.

You are so right, Terry. To expect some kind of payback
negates the joy you receive from the act of kindness. I
enjoyed your story and could follow along with ease. It
was heart warming. You shared the story well-very uplifting.
I understood who initiated the random act of kindness.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Comment from Rachelle Allen
It's true and it's lovely...and it's EXACTLY what we all need to be reading these days. This group is especially kind. I see these random acts of kindness on here daily as I read kind reviews the fans bestow upon others. They are kind with promotion pumps, too. If you associate with kind, good people, you become one. And if you read about kind, good people in well-written stories, you want to be just like them
So thank you for this wonderful public service in the form of this joyous read. Can you tell I absolutely loved it?! Xo

What a great story. Only the man who provided the random act of kindness would know the real name of the pregnant woman who was deserted by the child's father.

Comment from Anne Johnston
Truth or Fiction, it is a beautiful story, and very well written. I firmly believe that we cannot outgive the Lord. When we bless someone else, it will always come back to us - maybe not always in financial ways but in other blessings. I believe we all should obey your advice: "If you find yourself able to provide an act of kindness, or should you need such an act, remember this; seek, and you will find. Let's keep that in our hearts and minds this Christmas season."

What a lovely partly true story with a lovely morale. Kindness does pay off, and in the end the man identified himself. This is so well written, Terry, and thanks a lot.for sharing. Ulla:)))
