I love your clever play on words.
We have pivoted to plan our Thanksgiving with the calendar changing.
Thank you for the smile this morning.
Best wishes,
Mary

Hi Bill,
One "b" can make such a difference, eh? Goblins are short, green, supernatural creatures that are harmful to men and women and evil through and through. They have a mouthful of long crooked teeth and droopy, pointed ears. They live in hiding for most of the year, preferring underground caverns, surfacing only during October. But if you're gobblin', there must be a roasted turkey in the vicinity. A preferred meal, especially at Thanksgiving time. We Canadians get the jump on you Americans. We celebrated on October 10th this year, the second Monday in October. I don't imagine a goblin tastes nearly as good as a gobbler. But both are pretty ugly when it comes right down to it!
Nicely penned! Enjoy your special day with Tom!
Cheers,
Kimbob

Hi Bill, this is cute, I liked the wordplay very much.
At least you remembered there's a whole nother holiday between now and Christmas... unlike every store on the planet! The only reason anyone knows Thanksgiving is headed our way, is that they have to preorder turkeys at $5.00/lb this year! Even the frozen ones in the store have been truly expensive for a while now, and those are the old ones.
Life is crazy... we shouldn't ever forget to take time for our tryptophan coma break... it's important! ;)

This is a sweet little poem. The text is a great size. The message is clearly stated. Love the title of the book. It is "punny". lol The visual fits your poem well. Thanks for sharing.

I love November and Thanksgiving and Christmas much better than Halloween. I think I'm gonna rely on my brother-in-law this year to make the dinner. I've not been feeling well. I can't even conceive a Thanksgiving dinner in my home. Sending along my very best to you and yours in my best for your book, Sally XOs

I love your play on words and the smile it brought this morning with my first cup of coffee. Indeed, we have already begun our Thanksgiving plans for the year. Have a great day. ann

Oh! I didn't expect that play on words. It's amazing that with Goblins used so frequently in Halloween lore that the connection wouldn't have been sooner made about Gobbling and Thanksgiving. Funny and very inventive, Bill!

This is a great little poem, Bill, that says so much in a short
space. The artwork choice worked well. Yes, the young girl
is eyeballing the turkey during prayer. I really liked how you
used goblins and gobblin'. That is so true,
Thanks for sharing a fun poem, Jan

That is a clever way of putting it. I've had no goblins in the twenty years I've lived on this mountain a quarter mile off the street, and if I do any gobblin' at Thankgiving time in won't be on a won't be on turkey gobbler. Those birds are safe from me. I don't even cook them any more.
