The illustration is striking! The poem suggests the power of the imagination
which may sometimes appear lost but remains ready to challenge stereotypes and cliches. This meets the competition rules!

This is fabulous!! Very well done. I love how the Title draws the reader in as the subject. Our imagination often lurks in shadows waiting for a time to appear and present itself. A world of know-it-alls dampens imagination providing explanation, facts and science leaving imagination void of wonder. I often think that's why children have such great imaginations because they are not bound by the mind that already knows it. Theirs is a world of possibilities! I've you work!

I assume from the green eyes, this is about jealousy or envy.
I like how the font gets bigger until the eruption happens. But the small print is hard to read for these old eyes.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.

This one sneaked up on me. I read it several times before I think I fully understood the layers of meanings you had tucked away in this one. But I like it a lot. And you're right; sometimes imagination is the antidote to fear. The written word is the writer's equivalent of whistling in the dark when you're afraid. The ultimate false bravado.

Good luck in the contest, Lordinajamjar!!

Haha, truth is I don't know where this one came from. Deep perhaps but seems to me not so much. Fear of different levels is an inherent shadow that looms inside all of us isn't it. But we can always beat it one word at a time.

Imagination is a Tanka Poetry Contest Entry.
An entry rich in Theme and Imagery.
It also, read well and flowed well with no grammar issues.
Good luck with this one.

A great presentation and lovely tanka about having ambition to create and let go of our fears as we ink the page with shadows, much enjoyed, great words here, love Dolly x
