A good entry to the monostich contest. The kids related or connected to The Smith family would love if this happened. The visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.

I feel like the theme points to having children around during the holidays, which makes Christmas come alive again. One suggestion is that you provide a different title, either use the word, "privelege" within the poem and use a different word in the title or vice-versa, otherwise, in such a short poem it seems redundant to use the same word twice. Take my advice with a grain of salt. Still a great big message in such a short form. Nice job.

I thought this was an enjoyable poem. You say a lot with just one line and your image. This would be a great poem for a childrens book. Very nicely done.
