This is a very good acrostic poem you have penned. You used very good descriptive words and very good imagery from the art work you chose. I got my flu shot and pneumonia shot not long ago. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

Thank you Teri for your supportive review. Scientists really have their work cut out distinguishing different viruses and developing specific vaccines.

I think this a clear poem illustrating the benefits we have received from vaccines. Who can ever forget the Iron Lungs. I have heard that limited cases of polio have resurfaced. Viruses are so pernicious.

A most important and timely reminder. Thank you for sharing. :))

Once again, Gloria, thank you for taking the time to review my writing.
When I was a young girl our neighbour died from polio and all surrounding contacts were given the vaccine and put into quarantine.

It feels like a historical poem on vaccines, telling the reader to go ahead and go for it, they've been around for years. I think a little more figurative language would add layers of meaning to the poem by perhaps emphasizing other outcomes or consequences that could happen if they weren't around might strengthen the narrator's message. Otherwise, it's a cute poem.

Thank you for your considered review.
While writing my piece, I did have thoughts of the possible consequences if vaccines weren?t around but if I had included those thoughts I would still be writing!
