This is a great story. The writing is exceeded. I like the detail of the habits and the ownership the animal has taken over its humans. I could feel the genuine fellowship of this familiar relationship. Thank you for sharing this well-written story.

What an amazing cat. Sounds like she arrived by divine appointment. A stray dog arrived at my parents one Thanksgiving after my brother and I had long moved out of the family home. He was bedraggled, hungry and sick. We convinced my parents to keep him. He went to the vet first and was treated for heart worm and vaccinated. Then he was off to the groomer for a bath and haircut. He was the cutest, friendliest little black and white lhasa apso you could imagine and gave them many years of companionship.

What an amazing cat. Sounds like she arrived by divine appointment. A stray dog arrived at my parents one Thanksgiving after my brother and I had long moved out of the family home. He was bedraggled, hungry and sick. We convinced my parents to keep him. He went to the vet first and was treated for heart worm and vaccinated. Then he was off to the groomer for a bath and haircut. A Cats Story contest entry is rich in theme and Imagery.
It's amazing how God will send these creatures to us in time of need!
And, a long time ago.
My youngest daughter Dana presented me with a cat named "Midnight"
I was in the hospital suffering from my third nervous breakdown after the loss of my son Jason.
...
Now, because as a kitten , Midnight whom was a ferile and just born.
She would not leave its dead mother!
Yes, right in the middle of the Garden State Parkway!
Yes, as the many cars at noggt were going by at 65+ miles per hour!
And, our friend John who drives for Midnight Towing just happened yo be on a call!
And, to see it in the lights most have been a miracle.
and rescued the little creature!
And, it's s long ago memory but it still brings me back wonderful feelings to this very day!
How God can send a loving and beautiful little creature to me.
Yes, was simply amazing.

Some writing tips: Paragraph three you changed from third person pronoun to second. Solution: change 'your' shoulder and 'your' foot to 'a' shoulder and 'a' foot.
Also, watch repetition:
I swear that the animal thinks that it's human.
You can leave out both 'that's.
