Another fine poem, Gypsy...and a great song....I mean, how could anything by a guy named Stevens be anything else? And I now have a lightning rod baseball hat to guard against that love lightening shit striking me again. It damn near killed me last time, so never again!

I was born in 1958. I think we must be Close in ages. I was15 years-old when the song came out. I love the whole album.
