I commend your tribute to Billy Collins. Thankfully, I did read your notes and his poem first, so I could appreciate all the allusions to the poem you made. I can almost see you in the doorway reading his poem and reminding him about yours.
You emulate his style very smoothly.

I think it's a warm voice. The man in the photo (I'd love to know who he is) is a warm, happy person, not a haughty one. I did enjoy the consideration in both poems of the salt and pepper shaker. It's amazing how much can be interpreted from a consideration of simple inanimate objects. Kate xx

The man in the picture is Billy Collins. I love listening to him speak. And as you say his personality is the total opposite of haughty.
