This Tanka is a bit like the beginning of a story. I want to know where the person was when they opened their eyes. In my mind, they're in hospital after an accident, calmed by someone's reassuring presence at their bedside.

I like this poem because it's about love and it lasting even in the most dire moments. This kind of love can't be shaken. It's also the kind that is the most difficult to find. I enjoy reading poetry about love and ones that tugs at the heart string. The poet did a great job.

This poem states a beautiful sentiment. The font size is great. The message is heartfelt and clearly stated. The text could be a tad larger. I like the text centered on the large visual. The visual fits the text perfectly. You have a good entry. Good luck in the tanka contest.
