A beautiful and lyrical poem that echos God's promise. This was rich with vibrant detail. I could see and hear the hawk. The imagery of it rising to the clouds was excellent. Beautiful. Gretchen

It's Monday and I have already used all my six stars. You deserve one, not only because of this poem, but for everything you write.
Never stop. It's a pleasure to read you. It's also a learning experience every time.
Have a lovely day,
MJ

Your poem had a great message, Roy. Yes, the Lord will do
everything you wrote. However, it is up to mankind to keep
the faith when troubles come to him for they will pass in time
as the Lord said He will be there. Your lines flowed smoothly
with good rhymes and created great imagery of what faith is
when all seems lost.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Roy, this poem is my favorite that you have written so far. The words soar as effortlessly as an eagle and hawk with perfect truth and meaning. I felt the arms of the Lord holding me aloft this darkened world while I read. Inspired by the spirit, I am sure.

This is beautiful, Roy. Perfect meter and rhyme, and also providing a lesson for us all. Lovely photo.

May I suggest a comma after "thunder roars?"

This morning I had a text conversation with one of my daughter-in-law's, Katie. Their four-year old daughter started prek the end of August and they're seeing interesting behaviors and comments that have never been made in their house or seen before. Katie was wondering how to handle it. I told her through prayer and open communication with Charolette. As parents, they'll need to help Charolette process what she's seeing and hearing. This poem reminded me of that conversation, because we can't bend on what's true and right.

The picture is fantastic. A Redtail Hawk.He is beautiful.
I also love...Push hard my friend don't ever bend, before the seething dust. Protect yourself though clothed in flesh when winds in anger gust.
The last verse is awe inspiring as well. Well done. Nancy:)

This poem, Seething Dust, presented with AABB-rhymed, fourteener-lined quatrains, gives many descriptions of a hazardous and difficult journey, but also with a promise of victory.

Push hard my friend don't ever bend, before the seething dust.
Protect yourself though clothed in flesh when winds in anger gust. [love these first two lines]
[Loved..."Light-Flight, Night-Sight, and Flight-Sight. I read into it: Light fleeting, Night seeing, and Sight fleeting.
