Like you, I'm religious, in my case because I was brought up a Catholic and religion has always been an important part of my life.
We all do bad things, some more terrible than others (I try to avoid the news nowadays).

You did a great job with your faith poem, Roy. I enjoyed reading
it. Everything worked together to make it enjoyable-the smooth
flow, the rhymes, the color scheme, and image, and most of all
the message. Yes, man must believe in more than himself. Too
many do as you say not to yet claim to be believers. It takes
strength and perseverance to stand for one's beliefs when others
ignore them in favor of theirs. I liked the lines about the mountains.

This is a beautiful poem of faith, containing wonderful truths. Your witness for the Lord is true and complete here. I would make one suggestion. ln the first line, "its" should not have an apostrophe. When there is an apostrophe in it's, the meaning is always "it is." The possessive does not have one.

I think everyone who reads your poems knows, at least one, of God's purposes for you. I think God will present that purpose to us if we bother listening. Your poem reminded us that we are all sinners, and we need our own personal relationship with God. He's waiting for that.

I've always taken comfort in the idea that there's no point in life, no fate, no destiny, no path. There's just what we choose to do and how we choose to go about it. Of course, not everyone finds that comforting. I love your extended line structure, allowing us room to consider each thought as you transcribe it. I also love that your message is not about judgement but the opposite - freedom of hope.

Your wonderful poem reminds me of the vivid dream I had recently. The point of the dream being that though I felt and knew I was unworthy, God was pleased with and responded to my 'belief in, faith in and love for' Him.
