I understand and appreciate your thoughts within, and yet, if such acts came from sin, and that is not my opinion, could the result, whether a guilt-wrapped mind or living a life staring at the results be right?

This is not a religious poem it is one man?s confused thoughts on the subject of abortion. I?m my mind confusion reigns supreme is a true statement. I find myself wondering if we take out the ten percent on the far ends if the middle 80 feel like me, Confused??? Not sure and this is a tough current issue. My state is a "battleground" state so this will be the #1 issue in the next few elections Thank you for your review!

It shouldn't be an issue but became one when Roe/Wade was originally passed. We were far more moral nationally but again; it was and remains the squeaky wheel that gains attention.

A honest and well written poem and assessment of your feelings. As for me, I do not believe in abortion, however, I cannot put my beliefs on to someone else. There are rape and incest victims or a baby that will not survive after birth.. Also the life of the mother. I have seen kids neglected, living in bug infested homes, near empty refrigerators. It is a tough loveless life.
There is no simple
answer.
Regards
Mary

No simple answers. I think you just hit upon a better title for my poem. Anyways thank you Mary. I appreciate you.

It is not a black and white issue. On television was a woman who was pregnant with twins. She was told one was not viable and she could lose the second one, if she carried both to term. tough

    Very tough, henceforth my confusion.

Hello Author,
You've touched on a subject that has caused a lot of heated arguments on both sides of the aisle. If one believes in God, then I suppose it would be wise to consult Him and see what He has to say on the issue. If however, the person is an unbeliever, then perhaps some research into the long range after effects of both terminating a pregnancy, and bringing an unwanted pregnancy to term resulted in. While it would be nice to take a neutral position, it doesn't seem to be an option. Thanks for sharing this.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

Thanks. I can?t always write whimsically pieces about a man named Sally and such TOMfoolery. (See what I did there).

I always think that peaceful discussion is the solution. You have a blessed day as well, my friend.

I think you are in the majority - at least, I hope so! It's the polarizing politicized minority extremists who are so terribly loud and get the attention. I like your deeply honest refrain of "in my mind confusion reigns supreme." If everyone confessed that and looked to God for wisdom and guidance, we wouldn't be stuck between two extremes and consider how Love should inform decisions not totalitarian legal solutions.
Best wishes in the contest!

We are of like mind. Notice that I put Love and not love in the last sentence?. That was a sublime reference to Christ.
    God Bless!
