Willie this is so well written! I loved how expertly you voiced the cowboy showing his character and personality through his words and slang. The rhyme was perfect but the prayer so authentic I didn't even notice it rhymed it flowed so well. Presentation, image, font, so spot on! Bravo! I wish I had a 6er available for this well deserving poem.

I love this, it's simple and written in a form I'm sure the Lord would approve. I also love the sketch you've attached to the poem.
I hope you get your wish for more time, and I hope we Fanstorians get to read more of your poetry. You write so well.

This is a very nice poem indeed! I love the flow of it and the way you make it sound like a cowboy is talking (if that makes any sense). Good stuff....thanks for sharing!

I love this for the writing and presentation. It comes across as a very beautiful and intimate conversation with God.
Your using writing instead of print was brilliant.
Best wishes

I think your hand writing is shaky, too. This type of font is very hard to read. I can't believe you are ready to talk to God. Why such a hurry? Slow down and you'll have your chance in the end. Enjoy when you can.
Well done.

Enjoyed this poem's simple heartfelt nature. The word choices, enhanced by the font, effectively combined to create the 'ol cowboy feel. I could almost see John Wayne mumbling these words.

This sure made me think of one of my favorite cowboy poets in my home state. I like the dialect used here from beginning to end. It is reminiscent of the cowboy prayer that gets used at rodeos in my home state as well. Favorite lines were: I still have the desire ta' keep on goin'
But my body says whoa and ma' age is showin'
Thank you so much for posting this.

This is really neat. From the perfect script to the cowboy slang, you really nailed this and made it an impactful piece.
The photo was also brilliantly chosen, and it actually feels like the picture was drawn specifically to represent the piece.
Great work. Thank you for sharing, Willie!

I really enjoyed reading this Cowboy talk to God. The picture you used is very nice too. It does look like the horse is bowing it's head too. You used very good and heartfelt words. Thank you for sharing. Blessings, Teri

Old cowboys don't die they just fade away in the twilight rooming in their horse to some higher plain. Where God is waiting treating them all as his guest.
