Cord is a gentleman who holds chairs for ladies, just did not like Alexandra trying to pay for lunch. He needs to lighten up in that regard.
After their little tiff they resolved the mystery room.
Be interesting to see how the carriage ride goes for the two love birds.

I have a better feel for the relative value of Cord's and Ali's wealth now, though I would expect Cord's far more cash poor.

Great fun ,solving a case. Cordero and Alexandra are doing things together which would bring them closer. A Horse ride should be fun! I like the way the romance progresses..

I like how you are building the tension between Cordero and Alexandra. They are getting to know each other well and seeing what they have in common as well as what cultural differences as well as sensitivity to Cord's male ego. He's traditional, I guess! But he's a gentleman.
I really wished to know what this "escape room" looked like. Did they have to pay first? Where was it located. As it reads, they went right into this escape room right from the limo.

Yes, you're right about entering the business but it's one I never heard about so I was curious! It makes me wonder if people dress up in costume for such an event. Lol.

No they don't. They just go in and attempt to solve which ever problem they have. The chose earlier to be a detective.

This was great. They were both honest enough to explain their problem with the other. That's one of the best things to get past before the wedding. And they proved they could work together although both are A types who like to prove themselves. I hope other reviewers notice how carefully you are building the right ingredients to make a good life together for them.

Some are and some aren't. I have one reviewer, especially, who thinks I am way off base and there's no romance in this story. Thank you for understanding.

I am a bit later than normal, getting to this today. A good read, as usual. They have been doing something pretty different from anything I have known. I look forward to them getting much closer if the ex doesn't interfere. No spags.

So they've made headway, in discovering the safe that fits the combination found on the ceiling fan. All our days in New York, and we never took a ride on those horse and carriages, and the police aren't quite as unique as first, we have some mounted police here. A Well written chapter. I always thought that about font too. On my laptop I can zoom in and out. I think some may have tools or programs that can't. I guess.

If not ... should you be clearer with your readers? You may yet explain it in the remaining chapter, but I'm not sure you should be leaving your readers in the dark. Now she's found something attached to the fan.]

More and more, it seems like they were playing a game akin to scavenger hunting with their looking for clues. You left it at a nice cliff-hanging moment (but perhaps to everyone else but me)! Because I don't know what's going on, I can't invest very much concern over the outcome. I may have to check your other reviewers' responses to see if I'm the only one in the dark.

They were inside an escape room, being detectives. I'm confused why you were confused. Really. I thought I'd made that clear. I will go back and recheck. Remember them flipping the coin on which one, and then Anthony asking for the address after they had a disagreement???

I think the entire idea of "escape room" had escaped me. I thought it was a room they could escape to in order to have a conversation, perhaps snuggle, perhaps more -- a place to escape from the loving control of her parents. I read your other reviews and apparently, Judi also was a tad confused, so, yes, I believe I would find someway to preface what they were doing there. What WAS on the fan? That was never resolved.

How did I miss that? I didn't remember anyone actually getting something off the fan. But somedays I'm just not on it!
