I enjoyed this post and the humor surrounding it.

It definitely gave me a laugh, and after the recent destructive weather this week, sometimes it good to laugh.

I like the way you structured this story.
It think it was effective at engaging the reader to the point of participation.

Nice write and thank you for sharing.

And I like your reviews but my work suffers by comparison. However, keep them coming... Dennis

Your thoughts gave me a good laugh, reminding me much of what is said by our local weather forecaster. Sometimes they talk in riddles. I think you know what I mean.
Very creative, and I enjoyed the read.

We have had unusually col/wet weather during what seems to have been a long winter, and other parts of Australia have had floods, after prolonged droughts, but then I'm not one for statistics, their has unusually hot weather in England, Europe and America too hasn't there...except got New England heh heh, beautifully written Bro.blessings Roy

Deniz,

You gave me some real laughs on this one. Let me guess. You're a "climate denier." The last line about New Englanders is a killer. Living in New Hampshire, I know exactly what you mean. We have a saying, "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute." Well done my friend.

Sue

Thanks Sue. I was born in NH and now live on the Cape. That saying about the weather was first said by Mark Twain; "If you don't like the weather in New England, just wait a minute."
Glad you got a laugh out of my effort as such was my intention. :) Best to you, Dennis

Thanks for clarifying the attribution. I was too lazy to look it up, and we do repeat some iteration of it very often. I was born in NH, too, and have left only for a year of school and travel.

NH has a special place in my heart. I spent a summer on a farm of an uncle when I was 12 or so. We moved to Cape Cod when I was 4, but we always went back on Dad's vacations.

I love the smell of a cow barn early in the morning!

Me too! I wrote about it in my "Bully" series.

Well, I have to admit. You are correct on ten out ten. Sorry to New Englanders.

notes:

1. Somewhere on {planet earth}, it will be warm, even hot, all winter.

- proper name, and planet isn't needed.

1. Somewhere Earth, it will be warm, even hot, all winter.

Thank you for reviewing. However, I think "planet", in some subtle way, lends itself to a certain perspective beyond mere "earth". Kind of reminds us of how small we are in the grand scheme of God and yet we exist. Thanks for prodding me into a little research:

Should sun, moon, and earth be capitalized?

Note: This post relates to content in the eighth edition of the MLA Handbook. For up-to-date guidance, see the ninth edition of the MLA Handbook.

When Merriam-Webster indicates that a term is "capitalized" or "usually capitalized," the MLA capitalizes the term in its publications. When Merriam-Webster indicates that a term is "often capitalized," our practice varies. We usually lowercase sun, moon, and earth, but, following The Chicago Manual of Style, when the does not precede the name of the planet, when earth is not part of an idiomatic expression, or when other planets are mentioned, we capitalize earth:

The earth revolves around the sun.

The astronauts landed on the moon.

The space shuttle will return to Earth next year.

The four planets closest to the sun?Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars?compose the inner solar system.

Haha what a fun post, Deniz22. I smiled at all of the predictions.
I believe you will have a 100% accuracy. The weather is, and has
been unpredictable, but your commonsense predictions make it
believable. I would say you know what you're talking about. Each
of the predictions had something funny, so I can't pick out a
favorite. However, the E car was great and the complaints about
the power outage lasting longer than hour.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

I enjoyed your humorous piece. The humor is based on the will-written conflicting truths about weather phenomena. This is creative and funny. Well done. Thank you for your writing.

This prediction brought a hint of a smile as it was as accurate as it was noncommittal in scope. Caveats abound and cover all possibilities. This piece was cleverly done and fun to read.

Thanks for the hint of a smile but I was going for gut-busting guffaws, and there's not even a trace of a smile on my face. LOL

    Seriously, thanks for reviewing! Dennis
