The game of golf takes you to many places. Clever how you used the word golf when things go bad. A lot of people say the opposite of golf which is the word, shoot.

I enjoyed this. I'm not a golfer myself but I know golfers and it's a religion to them! This brings that to the foreground. I thought this was very creative. The repetition works well in your poem. It's a fun and enjoyable one.

Thanks. Today, it is better I write of golf than play what once was my secret mistress who partnered with me to make beautiful shots.

What an interesting way to express the love you have for your hobby. This makes a person stop and think about how deep is their love for their hobby. Our hobbies can and do engulf us and become a part of us in every way.

There was a time when it meant more to me but now I am glad to investigate what hides in the trees, and swims in the ponds. :-)

I found this poem hilarious. My brother plays a lot of golf, and I hear similar stories about his days on the green. Golf is not for me as I can't see much fun in chasing a little ball around. Best of luck in the contest.

There's no chasing. A golfer initiates motion and like a pilot the ball is in control once it leaves the box. Chasing it would be better but instead it decides to go hide for us to seek. Sometimes it wins, other times we lose. in other words the odds of winning are sparse.

Well, golf is not my hobby, what is your handicap (in golf).

Sparkling in your poem:
-Nice rhythm and structured
-Well versed vocabulary pertaining to your hobby and this sport
-You show the directions in which the g-o-l-f can go.
-Song lyrics and memorabilia to drive home point : stuck in the middle with you...

My favourite line:
-There was a time when my game was sublime, as I found the center of the club face regularly, which in turn placed my ball in the middle of the fairway.

A nice hole-in-one with this poem.

My Handicaps are age, playing at rather than playing the game, and too many surgeries. H.C. currently 9. Thank you.

I really like your little ditty.....
Reminds me of my father in his later years.
I don't see any problems ( for what it's worth ).
Tried it with him..... He whooped my ass!
