I think a smile is fundamental - it makes somebody simultaneously look friendly and, by extension, more approachable (even more attractive). I thought this was a beautiful little piece.

Good work. Whoever is the subject will certainly feel the love. You may want to reconsider word choices in a couple instances, e.g., when "forged" is the verb, either a tool or a quality of God (vision, artistry) may be more appropriate than "artwork".
