You have gathered an awesome set of entertainers, because I was born in Liverpool about the same time as the mop tops, near where they were, I love to ask George and John about there young life, I became a songwriter too, (although, surprise, surprise, not as famous, what a concert this would be, with notable exception...Elvis, oh, and Michael Jackson, well done, blessings Roy

Roy, thank you for reading and your kind review. I was not a Michael Jackson fan. I like Elvis okay, but this group was not some much about Rock. Terry

That?s true, although John and George,?

John, George, Sir Elton, and Linda were the exceptions, but notice which song I had them sing.

Yes, it certainly doesn?t matter anymore

LOL, look for a follow-up in a day or two, I think you will get your chance to talk to John and George. Do you have a specific question you wish to ask?
reply by royowen on 02-Oct-2022
Not really, I just think there was a a lot of talent came out of my birth city at that time, I was eight when I left, Liverpudlians are very special, not like the normal perception of a Brit, great senses of humour and humility.

Your dinner party would be a huge hit, Terry. I enjoyed
reading of all those invited, where you sat them, and what
they would perform. I knew the rock and rollers, DParton, EJohn,
and few others, but not the older ones. However, that won't
take away from your party. You had someone for all who would
have enjoyed the mix. That would have been a party no
one wanted to see come to an end.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Jan, thank you for reading my story. I am glad you enjoyed it. If you heard some of the older ones in their prime, you may have enjoyed them as well. Terry.

This sounds like a phenomenal dinner party. I just wish LJButterfly was famous enough to be invited. She sings AND plays the piano. I enjoyed remembering all the guests, most of whom are in my music collection. My husband loves the voice of Nora Jones. This is a great feel-good piece of fiction.

This is a dinner party I would have loved to attend! What a crazy imagination which I love! You never fail to amaze me, my friend. Your witty injections throughout added to the atmosphere of this star-studded event of the dead and the living! What a great informational, fun run through the ages. Well done, Terry

Thank you for sharing this dinner party with us. I did enjoy reading. I think I would have included Whitney Houston. Her voice is outstanding. There are so many good songs to choose from.

Sitting next to Johnny is Dolly Parton (Sitting beside Johnny)

Dolly and Frank are going to perform "Islands in the Stream." Frank wanted to do "Islands in the Steam." But Carl Dean, Dolly's husband, nixed it. (Doesn't make sense, it's the same song.)

Barbara, thank you for reading, and for your review. Whitney would have been good too, but I am more old school, which I why I chose Patti and Dinah.

If you notice, "Islands in the Stream" is a real song done by Dolly and Kenny Rogers. "Islands in the Steam", no r, is a made version that Frank wanted to make "Steamy."

Sorry I missed that. I didn't notice, the missing 'r'. DUH!!!!!

LOL, I was going for a funny there. I could see Frank sitting beside (changed it) Dolly with lust in his heart as Jimmy Carter used to say.

I was looking forward to more of your work and you didn't disappoint. Your guest list was quite varied and leave it to Frank to understand the value of the boy girl seating chart. I love the addition of Nat king Cole. And George Harrison. I wanted to be the girl sitting in between them. Lol. One spag: Nate King Cole is in one spot. Just one small spag. Great job. Gretchen

I like all of your choices for the evening of music and, of course, as must be true, miss a few not mentioned .... but then it is your evening. lol A good post, not really a story -- but wasn't meant to be -- more of reporter's view. I thoroughly enjoyed the history of the piece and the obvious research done. The ending was a great twist as always!

One spag -- a typo, actually in the spelling of Los Angeles.

Great job as always. ann

I am familiar with most of the songs and all of the artists you mentioned. Oh to be a fly on the wall, well out of range of any fly swatters mind you. I just want to revel in the entertainment and conversations taking place among all the dynamic guests. I would not embarrass you by listening to you trying to impress the lovely blonde goddess MS Monroe.

Thanksgiving is not far away, and with it I regularly think of a cornucopia overfilled with fruits and nuts and stuff. That is the setting I sense with your seating list. It is quite attractive. I apologize for not being there, even though I know the postman misplaced the invite.
