I expect we will all be assigned a robot in the future to do those chores around the house we hate and we are left with time on our hands and want company but a robot will be programmed to do the chores and switch off! This is an inventive write, love Dolly x

Thanks for the excellent review and your perspective on my theme. I don't know if I want a robot around. It might get hacked. And then what? estory

LOL Yes, they may be about as useful as a computer who can many things and we might appreciate them but they can never satisify any of the basic human needs for love and understanding.

Thanks for the excellent review and I am glad you liked the piece. It was one of the more fun pieces to write. And you got exactly what I was trying to get across. estory
Comment from Carolyn Dooley
People are acting like hostile robots. Most people today act as if they hate everyone and everything around them. If someone offers to open a door for you, it is a miracle. It is the times we live in. It would be nice to send robots to fight war instead of losing loved ones. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the excellent review and for your interesting perspective on the piece. What I really wanted to get across was that despite all our short comings, real people and their quirks and idiosynchroses are preferrable to soulless machines. estory

Estory,
I like your tongue and cheek humor in this poem. Through your words, I felt that unpredictable, even hurtful behavior is better than having a non thinking piece of metal around.
I would even prefer my dog over one of them.
Great poem with subtle, sarcastic tone.
Good luck.
Blessings,
Cindy

This is the kind of robots Elon Musk wants and is designing one called Optimus. They are obedient and will do things humans don't want to do. But there are other kinds of robots. Robots with consciousness are called Sentient Robots who can think like humans. They will definitely be smart than us. These kinds of robots are dangerous to mankind.
Thanks for sparking discussion on this tech related topic.

There is a lot too be said for your arguments.
There's also much more to be said about someone loving you, about someone appreciating you. But everything depends on picking the right one.
Best wishes.

Yes, I kind of got that it was tongue in cheek. You were very comprehensive in your list of the failings of human beings. But as you say, they are irreplaceable.

e,
Yup. That's what we all need - about two or three robots to do our beckoning. THEN we'd all be absolutely and truly HAPPY. Right?
hahahaha! Wrong! We'd still find plenty of stuff to complain about, I'm sure. But you will definitely get some folks thinking with this fun post. Thanks!

I am guessing that robots are like computer and when there's a computer mistake, it hardly ever gets resolved. So, I'll take a human anytime. Thank you for sharing this tongue in cheek poem.
