Kay, this is a very warm and empathetic, prayerful poem for our friends in Florida. Thank you for praying for my fellow countrymen (although I live in New York, as you know) and calling upon God to help them--also reminding the rest of us, of the signs of the times, as some of it know it means that the return of Jesus Christ is drawing near.

I just love the two line "God alone knows your cost, He above will not see you lost." Excellent faith based lines that give comfort to the reader. I often vacation in Florida and feel for the people and relatives of mine that live there. This is a historic storm and it was an excellent idea to write a poem about it.

Year after year the east coast of US seem to suffer from hurricanes. The visuals of devastation are terrible to look at. I also join in praying for those who suffer .....

Thank you for your prayers for my home state. With God's divine protection, my terror and fears were in vain. My husband and I lived through it without any personal harm or damage to our home. I thank and praise God. Others were not as fortunate. My prayers go out to them.

Indeed. All is still in the eye of the storm. God is gathering us to Himself. No death, only transition to real life. Peace be still - love K xx

The picture was truly devasting, Kay, it truly showed the wrath of Mother Nature. It is so sad that all over the country and yours as well, Mother Nature rears her ugly head. Thank goodness, God is in charge. Blessings n Hugs!

You did a great job sharing your feelings about the
hurricane in Florida, Aussie. Your words were well
chosen with smooth flow. They created great imagery.
I liked the way you ended with God in control. The
picture was awesome but scary at the same time.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Thank you, Kay for the prayer for our fellow Americans and FanStory members who have felt, and are feeling, the devastation of this storm. One thing we know, "neighbors" rush to help "neighbors in such times of trouble. There is a little bit of God in all those who run to the trouble or help in other ways.

A nice acknowledgment of Florida and its current devastation in the storm, as well as encouragement for the population to remain strong and cling to their usual resilience. Well done.

A very apt depiction of the situation for so many currently in Florida but also at any given time at someplace anywhere in the world.
Massive weather systems are catastrophic and shatter, hearts, minds, bodies and spirits.
I applaud your caring and supportive poem and also pray for all those people caught in this massive weather event.
Blessings
Shirley

Yes, I join you in praying for safety for all who are in the path of this violent and destructive hurricane! I feel for them too in the clean-up and rebuilding. It is a difficult journey even once the hurricane has passed on, and terrifying during the process.

Hello Mrs G. When I heard it on the radio, I sat down and wrote. We are in dark days, our faith is being sorely tested. How is your computer now? K xx

I have just this minute posted a story about my computer, an update! Dan looked at it last night and again this afternoon. The news is not good.
