This has been my favorite thus far. The poem is clearly told. The text size is good. The rhyme scheme is done well. The visual fits perfectly. You have a good entry. Good luck in the contest.

I had a nun like this in high school. After I graduated and married a sailor, moving far away, we kept in contact by mail. No Zoom in those days. I'd glad see this. So many people think nuns were mean. Schools are not the same, not as good as when we had nun teachers.

The irony is when I was in college, I saw this lady in a bar on Rush Street in Chicago. We had a good talk and some laughs. She said she decided to leave the convent and was now a social worker. Thank you for your read and feedback.

In life we should never forget. It is never the job or the uniform. It is and always shall be, the person within. A good man can wear the clothes of a homeless wanderer. A bad man dressed in the uniform of a policeman, a judge, or a priest, can be evil personified. Clothes may dress up or dress down a man, but they will never make the one inside the clothing something his heart does not agree with or control.

"She was strick" needs to be "She was strict"
I enjoyed your poem about Sister Mary Grace. She sounds like quite a lady. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thank you for the read and the encouraging feedback. And for the spelling catch. I will edit.

Have you ever read the script I wrote about the nuns. I enjoyed writing it because they can be strict and also fun teachers. I like your poem; is it written as a free verse poem?

I just let the words flow. I was not aiming for a particular style, but I guess it can be called free verse. Thanks for the read and review.
