A very nice haiku showing how two predatory competitors co-exist in the same place, under the same sun.

Lion and Hyena definitely are always in the same scene. Since they hunt according to daylight, or nightfall, they sure do have built in clocks too...

Thanks, Gypsy for your beautiful poem and nature scenes.

I seriously doubt Lions and Hyenas would stop to watch a sunrise, but I love the idea. I wish humans would pause and stop fighting. Thank you for sharing this beautiful Modern Haiku with and the hope of ending fighting.

Love it! Wouldn't it be marvelous if human fights could be stopped by people looking and admiring the wonders of nature? Great poem to help us take not and loved the pictures you chose!!

Thank you, Helen, yes, it would be great if we would cherish nature's beauty, realize what we have in common and forget our differences (((sigh))) love you, big sister.

Haha. Lion and Hyena are distracted by sunrise during fight. It must be a great sunrise. What a clever idea. I wonder whether they could see the color like we do.

Well done.

Gypsy,,
This is a very nice sentiment in modern Haiku form.
The photo is really great too. I couldn't tell, buon hope I'm right when wishing you all the best in the Haiku club.
Blessings,
Cindy

Ms. Gypsy,
This a beautifully stated and presented poem. I like the idea that two very territorial animals would stop fighting long enough to appreciate the sunrise (even if it is unlikely). The visual fits perfectly and now you have cranked your presentation to another level with two visuals underneath the text. The spacing for the text and the visuals is well done. Thanks for sharing.

Two of the fiercest enemies, who would probably never pause in their pursuit of the other, yet you give them some solace in your words. You allow them to pause for the beauty of the sunrise.

Very nice verse

So, peace "dawns" on them!

Clever... Let's try that with humans now!

Think of the lives that would be saved if only!

I love your poems, always...

Those that speak to PEACE? A special thank you!

Your poem reminds me of the Lion King. I have always liked this movie because there are many lessons to be learned from this movie. One of them is to be kind to one another, not mean!
