This is a wonderful story for children, Mike. I'm sure it would be loved by any young ones who had it read to them. As an adult, I feared reading about the frogs getting hit by a vehicle on the road. lol I love the picture! What an inviting garden you have. :)

I love this story!!

Your writing is fresh, engaging, and creative.

What child does not enjoy a story about frogs? I guess, adults as well:)

I appreciate the presentation. The font size and boldness, along with the shorter paragraphs, both make for an enjoyable read.

Your colorful, and descriptive writing pulls the reader into the world you have created.

The dialogue is authentic and flows naturally.

I love the author notes and the tradition of painting rocks.

Thanks for sharing!

I think it's a wonderful little children's story. It's really nicely polished and I think you should try and see if you can publish it. It has a wonderful moral to it, You did a great job keeping the theme relevant and at the same time, the language simple enough for children to understand. It almost reads like an Aesop fable. Wonderful job with the character of the mother guiding her kids across the traffic in the road. The humanization of the frogs is really well done. estory

Very nice story. Very well told. Good work.
They were all extremely fortunate to have made it to their destinations alive - it's a very hostile planet, you know.
Best wishes.

What a neat little story. I'll bet your grandchildren would like it too. It is interesting what you learned about the types of tree frogs. The picture of the frogs in your garden is very pretty.

This is precious. The frog is my main totem so this was especially endearing for me. This will draw out the inner child in all readers. I have to give you A+ for your research and heartfelt story.

What a delightful story for children! It has the repetition that makes it appealing to kids. Most of all, it shows that devotion of a mother frog loving all tadpoles as her own and that love continues even after they each went to find their own communities.
Suggestion:
"Yes, Mother." Mrs. Frog gathered (I would put the Mrs. Frog sentence in the next paragraph because the quoted sentence is said by the tadpoles.

Awe...How sweet. Three of them were tree frogs. I have never seen a tree frog. Do they look different? I love the night sounds of Illinois and Nevada. They are very different, but soothing. Well done Mike. God Bless you as well. Nancy:)

Most red and yellow tree species of tree frogs from Central and South America have steroidal alkaloid toxins in their skin. Some have enough to kill a man if he were so unwise as to pick it up. Native tribes used the poison for their blow darts to kill birds. Blue tree frogs are also often poisonous. Watch out for those little boogers!
