Enjoyed your fun poem with its multiple internal rhymes about Schubert the seal. Those seals are probably a whole lot smarter than we give them credit for. They have humans at their beck and call.

    It's very important to take time to laugh! Thanks for the smiles. I met a Hawaiian monk seal once on the beach of Waikiki. All those ecologists cordoned off that section of the beach because they wanted to protect her. She was treated like royalty. 😂

I love this light hearted verse.

It is so funny the things that inspire us.

I always say, your muse can show up anytime, and anywhere.

I love seals, I see them in San Francisco.

This one was clever, successfully escaping.

Never underestimate the cleverness of animals.

I like the poem! I found these words reminding me of the gift of retirement life! I can do what I want when I want! It made me think of

    I am doing very well thank you for caring. The reception this poem has received has served to convince me that as a people, there is much hope for our survival. Despite the weighty issues facing us, we can still find the time to enjoy a laugh at the antics of an animal doing something we as people can admire.

Some of God's creatures can show extraordinary skills in escaping from captivity, the question should really be, do we have the right to force creatures to do what is unnatural for them, this poor creature finished up where came from. Beautifully written dear friend, well done, blessings Roy

    Thank you Roy. Most of the modern things we enjoy came about from studying the animal kingdom. Our God knew what he was doing when he created animals in the first place.

I like all the alliteration, rhyming and internal rhyming you used in this silly poem. You are very good at it. You have made me laugh. That's what a silly poem is for.

Seals are no different than many animals, they are smart, and sometimes get the jump on us lazy, so to respond humans. LOL. Thanks for sharing another fine poem.

He came out to get some sun. He is cute. He seems to enjoy his relax time in the sun. And he has no care in the world. He has much courage. Thank you for sharing this cute story. I enjoyed it. Have a great week.

Shubert sounds like a fun seal to everyone except the authorities that are supposed to keep him where they want him. I wonder how long he went until he made his next great escape.

    As he is obviously intelligent, he probably waited for the perfect opportunity, and he may very well try it again, the next time he gets bored.
