I love that Scripture. It's one my favorites. All love comes from friendship and respect. You cannot love if you don't like or respect. Real love accepts on for who they are and is steadfast and true.

This is gorgeoous. The whole thing is full of great lines, but I think my favorite is the following:
It is a balancing act between the two. It's not always easy to accomplish or maintain. But it's worth the effort. :)
And you know I love 1 Corinthians 13. :) How can you go wrong with something dubbed The Love Chapter?
Blessings and thank you for your diligence in sharing Christ through your work on FS.
Blessings,
Deb

1 Corinthians 13 is one of my favorite verses in the Bible, I have plenty, but verse13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. has to be one of the very best. Thank you for sharing.

So very good. Love, love, love and LOVE the picture. Perfectly sets the stage to what you are doing here. I like poems that have a great and easy flow, without hiccups or stalls, and this one nailed it right on the head.
Great work! Keep on writing, because writers write, and you, my friend, are a writer!

True love comes from the God who is love, and it's seen in the scene at the cross. What a wonderfully written poem. Best of luck with your writing!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Simply awesome, my friend :) I love this one. The artwork is very intriguing. Great choice!
Love this part:
We have so many names for love,
but only one is from above.
It waits for us, will not insist,
it lingers long for assent's kiss.
Love is more than just a word. To experience the true meaning, you must feel it deep down in your soul.
Always your fan,
Shana :)

Roy,
So true. It's scary when you think about it. When you have a child, you begin to think you have SOME grasp on the Father's love for US - but we know from the scriptures that in truth, His love is far above anything we can comprehend. Amazing!
In sharing the beautiful Chapter 13 - you left off my very favorite bit:
--> "And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."
Most of the Christians I know would think FAITH is most important - right? This piece states it plainly - LOVE is more important than anything else. And don't you think that's because if we LOVE correctly - all the rest will follow perfectly?
God is amazing! Thank you-

A fine explanation of love, and why it is such a strong virtue. I particularly like the last line:
[love] will not submit, enslaved by time.
Blessings, Kate xx
