A lovely descriptive poem and author notes anout the true meaning of love. Whether you talk about love from above or earthly love it should always be supportive. Beautifully written Roy.
Cheers

Hello Roy,
It's refreshing to read again those words concerning love. How very different from our natural desire to grasp and take at any cost what we desire. Congratulations on your All Time Best status. Well done my friend.
Have a blessed day.

Nicely said. Love is amazing and there is no love that equils a love that would die to save another. God is the personification of love and I'm thankful that he express love in a way that gives us the gift of life.

A wonderful poem with so much truth, and a truly clear description of genuine Christ-like love. I totally agree with the message you've included. I thought the final verse could have been a wee bit stronger, to better crown the victorious tone of the previous three stanzas. But if you are satisfied with it, that's all that really matters. It is a wonderful, meaningful poem and I enjoyed it immensely.

This is a provocative verse that would make for interesting dinner conversation:)
Some might argue that love can deceive, and cause emotional strife.
Love is blind, so goes the expression.
When one is blind they can be mistreated, devalued,
and overlooked.
Love by itself is simple really. But the way in which it is used or felt can be quite complex.

powerful mediation on what is love? You make your case in a powerful set of verses, telling your Christian point of view but not overwhelming the reader. I like the last stanza the best
A man will thrive when wisdom dawns
that sacrifice embraced, adorns.
This love embraced in perfect rhyme,
will not submit, enslaved by time.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seekin, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. NIV

Hi Roy, yes, I couldn't agree more. Love, any kind of true love is indeed a great thing. It will never let us down if it comes from the heart. Again you've written a beautiful poem. Ulla:)))

Your poem expresses well the message of I Corinthians 13. It is the love Jesus showed to us and the way He desires us to show our love to all that we come in contact with. It is something worth working towards.
