"you head home to rest
with smooth slide past horizon -
darkness here, light there"
Nice picture, Wendy and your words are a great entry for the contest. I like how you compare sunset to ending our life journey.

This 5-7-5, Beyond Horizons, has the proper formatting and presents the calico sky, a patchwork of translucent and opaque moisture, suspended for viewing at the end of day. Nice.

You are correct, those who go to heaven will experience heavenly light and everlasting life. There is no need to worry or fear what is coming. Going to heaven should be a thrill. There will be no more sorrows or pain. No tears to shed. God will wipe the slate clean. Thank you for sharing.

Here! Here! I agree. Oh, when I can finally leave this darkness and go to glory! We had a horrific murder happen in my community yesterday...senseless and took the only caregiver and money away from an ailing old woman with demetia. I have been poorly since.

Thank you Dolly. Yes being on FS makes one more aware of all those on the other side of the world.

This is a lovely haiku, leaving a sensation of restfulness. I love how you concluded your lovely analogy of light and darkness for life's journey and the anticipated homecoming now - and then. Good luck in the contest.

You did a lovely job with this 5-7-5 for the contest, Wendy. Your well-chosen artwork sets the tone for the smoothness of this piece. I enjoyed reading it and wish you luck.

Perfect metaphor, divinely inspired! Every journey ends...
None of us escape the sadness of loss...
Ah, but in faith-filled hearts, we know we will meet again!

Yes, we do. A wonderful celebratory Wedding Banquet, hosted by Jesus Himself, for all nations of believers. See you there!

Hello Wendy,
This is a lovely photo, and the words are deeper than they first appear. I'm sure you're more than ready to return home. It's always fun to get away, but even better to go home. I hope you have arrived safely.
Have a blessed day.
