Hey Sandra,
You did well in this prolog in introducing, Bessie and Ann and their similar gifts. It's good for Veronica that she and Ann do not have to time travel. I like that the past, present and future all word together the create a better world.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Joan

The complications in keeping everything straight will be cool to see done. I hope that the other stories might be available online if not in print. Sounds like lots to find out and make up.

Thank you so much, Bill for this and the golden sixth star! You've made my Sunday! All three are published in paperback and on kindle. Bk one, This Time - That Time isn't on here now, but book 2: Beyond This Time, and book 3, This Time it's Personal, are in my portfolio. I'll post chapter one of this book as soon as I come back from my holiday three weeks today. Love and hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

Great setup forth the novel. All of the characters are now known and their roles have been explained concisely and in the context of the conversation. Very well done chapter.

Thank you so much, Theodore. I'm off on holiday next week and, hopefully, chapter one should be finished before I leave to post when I come back. Thanks, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

I know I said to enjoy your holiday, but now I'm thinking you can't go. You have to stay home and write your story. LOL Just kidding. Have fun. I'll look forward to more of Bessie and Mildred when you come home.

LOL! You are so funny, but, my word, you have made my day! I'm a really happy bunny! I'll be working on getting chapter one ready for when I come back. Then I'll leave the unpacking to my hubby and the washing will have to wait! 😊
Thank you so much, Cindy. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

No coffee in the future, then I don't want to go. I love the concept, of future "police" traveling back in time to stop the crime before it happens.

P14, s2: SUGGEST (you's not mindin') rather than (you's not minding) to agree with the rest of the accented vernacular.
P18, s3: SHOULD (many years now?) be (many years now.) It reads more like a statement rather than a question.
P24, s2: (home-made) should be (homemade) one word
P34, s1: Add a comma after (end) pause after an introductory phrase
P35, s1: Remove comma after (Ann frowned)
P50, s2: Remove comma after (faces)
P50, s6: SUGGEST (you's be havin') rather than (you's be having) to agree with the rest of the accented vernacular.

Great prelude. The story is established with enough drama and mystery to lure the reader. I'm ready for the next installment, I know that. I would love to see how things may have gone if JFK or RFK or MLK or even John Lennon had never been assassinated. I'm ready, let's go.

Hi Gary, thank you so much for reading this part. I'm ready now to get the story moving. Fun times ahead!! Thank you also for the edits, I've made the corrections. But I was really confused about the, home-made vs homemade. I went into Google and I ended up even more confused. This is what I found....
    Home-made
    adjective
(esp of cakes, jam, and other foods) made at home or on the premises...

    And then...
    Homemade
    adjective
The restaurant's pastry is homemade.... (????)

I've changed the whole sentence now!! LOL....

Mildred came in with a tray of tea, coffee, freshly baked scones, that were still warm, and a pot of strawberry jam.

Thank you, my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

I know, right? These are the sources we depend on and even they can't get it together. I find that situation quite often, sometimes it is so confusing I just don't write anything and let the story stand on its merit.

I'm glad you did a little checking yourself to get an idea of what is going on out there. I guess at times, a person's better judgment is the best way to go.

You did a great job, Sandra, with this installment before the
series (novel) begins. I enjoyed reading it. After reading it three
times, I believe I understood more of what may be in store. Of
course Bessie was at her best explaining everything. I believed
the others understood in the end. I figured Ann was gifted by
the way the original handshake between her and Bessie occurred.
You did a great job refreshing the minds of readers with the other
two books. I hope I'm not too lost as I've only read the second one,
however, I remember the details of it.
I also read the one with Margot/Meg. I like the title that stays
close to what the trilogy will encompass--
This Time - It's Different. However, I really
believe there's something missing even in this one.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Thank you so much for your lovely review of this last prelude, Jan, I do appreciate it a lot. Ann was a child in the second book and had made contact with Daveth, a young boy in the past who wanted help. Now she's 17, she'll be a big help in this new time travel story. I'm ready to start it now. But it will have to wait until I'm back from my holiday. I go at the end of next week. Can't wait! Thank you for the shiny sixth star, my dear friend! Love and hugs, Sandra xx

'Ever since Mildred told Veronica of their plan, Veronica (has been in a state of nerves.)' I think this is the past but you have written it in present text. (hadn't been able to sit still.)

Great chapter, if not a bit confusing lol. That could be because it is a slow start, though. Thank you for sharing and have a great weekend.

Hi Jackie, thanks for that suggestion, I liked it and have changed it now. This isn't chapter one, this is a case of readers who never read my time-travelling-trilogy which was started in 2017 and the final book was completed in 2019. This prelude was bringing Bessie from The Return to meet up with the characters in the trilogy. Chapter One will begin when I'm back from my holiday after 22nd October. I wanted everyone to be familiar with the team. Book one will start with a bang! (Not literally, though! LOL) Thanks, Jackie. I'm looking forward to reading your next book in your trilogy. It will be perfect and so nice to see familiar characters. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

HI Sandra, I think...you should stay with...This-Time It's Different...it's the perfect title my amazing friend...

just the fact that the characters...have all merged from
different stories...spells out the the title...it doesn't speak of one...it speaks of all...it's going to be different...if that makes sense...hmmmm...

and of course me making sense is not my strongest point...
but I get it...

I'm so glad everyone was able to make it to the tea/coffee party...It's so good to see Ann again...she may not be traveling back in time...but with her gift...she can help...the same as Veronica...

and Bessie and Mildred on some of the stops in time...to change peoples lives...could try out the different tea/coffee shops...compare their different taste...

truly beautiful you...you have the perfect cast...and it will be a prefect book...and I was just wondering if...

have you ever touched someone...and had an electric charge
go through you?...and I don't mean like with you and Graham...just thought I'd ask...you know...a lot of your friends seem to be into time-traveling like you...hmmmm...

so have a wonderful/amazing trip you...
and then...on with the story...
sending tons and tons of love your way...God Bless...

Thank you so much, my dearest Linda. I'm going with 'This Time it's Different.' It is, so it has to be. I'm sure Mildred will agree. Bessie and Mildred will be perfect together, they are both quirky people, and loveable, at least, I love them!! Lol. They have become part of my family.

I enjoyed reading this post.

The characters are well developed , which will lend itself to chapter one.

The theme is good, I am intrigued to know what comes next.

I think your title choices are spot on. I tend to like one word titles.

Trilogy ideas:
1.Time
2.Travellers
3.Rectifiers

You have the makings of a great novel.

Fantastic! What a clever lady you are, Sandra. It was lovely to be reminded of some of the scenes in the last book of the trilogy, especially the scenes in the hospital during the evacuation - it took me right back there! I think 'This Time It's Different' is a perfect title, but I'll certainly rack my brains to see if I can better it. I can't wait till you get back from holiday so I can enjoy the new book, whatever you decide to call it!

Thank you so much, Alexis, it's so nice to know you remembered them all. They were fun days, weren't they? Thank you for the golden star, my dear friend. You are the 4th person to choose 'This Time It's Different.' So I'll go for that one at the moment, unless one of you comes up with something better. Love you lots, my Scottish-French friend! 🥰❤️Sandra xx
