The only reason this is racist is because people say it is. It's getting to be ridiculous. It's the same when we laugh at our children and say, 'You little monkey' now that is racist. How did we get to the state? We have to be careful of everything we say now. Why should this company change the name when it is the founder's surname? Society has gone mad. Well done, my friend, this needs some commonsense, not bigotry. :) Sandra xx

Changing the name of thing will NOT change the heart and that's were prejudice comes from. Stories like this upset me, because nothing will ever change, and it causes others to get upset. Thank you for sharing this poem.

Blaming a man for his last name and criticizing product names like "Coon" is SO ridiculous. We need to address racism--REAL issues of racism, not spend precious time on matters such as the one you've addressed. A product should not have an obcene or blasphemous name, but "Coon" is not . . . ! In line 1, "were" should be "where." Look at the end of line 6.

We've always eaten Coon cheese without ever a thought of racism or offending anyone. The man deserved to be recognised for his skills in making quality cheese. We've always eaten Coon cheese without ever a thought of racism or offending anyone. The man deserved to be recognised for his skills in making quality cheese. I totally agree with you on this Roy. Those that call others 'coon' as a derogatory label, they are the ones that need to change. Too much of this nonsensical political correctness.

You cannot legislate human nature. There will always be prejudice of some kind. However, the political correctness has reached ridiculous proportions until now everyone is afraid to speak at all. It's a shame society has become so super-sensitive. I don't think it's that, though. It's a chance for these jerks to make a splash of some kind.

Finally, one of the other agents said to me, "You know, everyone else only thinks the things that you say." Over time, as I got older, I learned to pick when to say things. I still get in trouble. Just not as often. LOL. I think the same thing as you on this one.
