True. These days it is very fashionable to claim rights and freedoms. This was not done by Jesus, nor by His original followers, and the servant is not above his Master. Followers of Jesus need to have the same attitude. Well written.

This is good. Love is the answer to most things. You say it is a philosophical poem and not just Christians. It is true but the but it is easy for non Christians to love those who love them back. It is so easy to love that see to hate us and want to harm us and yet we're commanded to love them as well. I think it would take a real Christian to do that we cause we would need God's help.

I like the sentiment, but I cringe at thinking all I have the right to do is to love. Personally, I look at love as more of a privilege, a gift so to speak, rather than a right. But the words you used to get you to that point were grand and made sense all the same.

I?m talking of love as a sacrifice, a continuous selfless act Gary, the rest are privileges not rights, blessings and gifts. Thanks dear friend, blessings

Thanks for sharing another beautiful poem, Roy. The message is so true. If we all loved each other, no one would have the desire to be "free" from each other. Well done.

What a beautiful quote! And that changes everything in how we live life and interact with the people God puts in our lives. I love how you explained the quote and ended with it. The opposite of the Sapphonic Triad form.

This is the mainstay of the Unitarian church--unconditional love, that is what a Divine Consciousness preaches. You put this idea very well in your poem, Roy.

This was beautiful, Roy, absolutely beautiful. Your words started out with what the teacher said, then they flipped over to God and the they flipped back to the teacher. He/she claimed that God's love was the truth of the world and he/she was right. Blessings.

Jesus modeled pure love for use, but we still mess up. Yes, love can be everything to us, but we still choose to hate. I'm not sure why that is. God loved us first, but we still mess up. Thank you for sharing.
