Well, isn't this enough to give a child, (or me) nightmares from now until All Hallow's Eve? My husband loves horror movies and I'm (wait for it)...

HORRIFIED by them!

In this context, however, I appreciate the Naani form being used in a unique manor, and after all, it was a Halloween contest, so you went for it!

(I'll just jot down that title as one I'll refrain from seeing!)

The odd thing is I enjoy reading it, but watching it gets to be too freaky for me!

Another fine poem, Gypsy....yes indeed, this is the Dean Kuch time of year....fired his imagination: inspired his stories of the dar corners of the macabre

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I know this is a poem, but I do feel there are many predators out on days like Halloween whose sole purpose to hurt children. I like seeing parents with the children. I enjoyed reading and good luck with the contest.

Good luck wishes regarding the contest, Gypsy. The two pictures were fantastic. Your words showed that there is something else delightful to eat-little children. Great job. Blessed Be n Hugs!

I like your Naani poem- excellent picture presentation- good syllable count- good connection- excellent notes with references - does remind of the dark side - when Halloween was ruined - stories of sick people putting razor blades in Apples - evil exists to destroy innocence - never was the same again- good job-

This was actually a very scary poem. You wrote it well. The beast stalking the streets looking for children to eat is a terrifying image. Thanks for sharing, and best wishes to you.

That's so appropriate for a Halloween poem! But of course, the best part is your tribute to Dean as he loved his horror movies and writing horror poems. Thanks for keeping his memory alive here!!
