Thanks Verna for this lovely short poem about birds. I liked the first 2 lines best but also enjoyed the alliteration of "tiny twitterers" and "Singing against the sky."

Your contest entry read well, Verna. I enjoyed reading it.
Great job with the syllable count per line in each verse.
I liked the use of alliteration in each second and third lines
throughout. The picture was perfect. It' amazing how the
birds can line up so perfectly on the wire. Good job with
rhymes, too.
Best wishes in the contest, Jan

A picture to remember for sure. This morning I woke early to birdsong, and I will remember it. We are travelling and the birds were singing quite different songs from ours back home. Your poem is very lovely, and a reminder to consciously commit to memory such treasured experiences. Best wishes for your entry in the contest.

That is a cute way to refer to birds, "twitterers." There is not much in nature that can compare to the morning song of a bird, any bird, especially when mixed with the rest of the choir. Whether they are on a wire or not.

Nice poem, Sweet thoughts. All positive words, which is good.

Verna,
This is a lovely 3-6-9 poem you've written.
I love the way the returning birds herald in spring and summer.
Right now the birds are quiet. Most have flown South.
Your poem brings me solace as you captured them in a warmer, busier time.
Good luck, Verna.
Blessings,
Cindy

Verna,

How sweet! It's funny that we are all so used to seeing this, isn't it? Regardless of where you live, this is probably a sight we all know pretty well. Isn't that cool? Never thought of it before!

Your syllable count is good - for this one stanza. *smile* But according to contest rules - you need two more stanzas ofr 3/6/9.

Thanks and good luck! I'm gonna be nice and nogt deduct a star - 'cause I know you'll fix it quick. Good luck!

I like your single stanza of 3-6-9. I always like seeing those congregations of birds as they seem to have such a rich social life. Lol. But you see them as a choir.
For the contest, you need two more stanzas.

This is such a beautiful 3-6-9. I have pictured it all. The sight of dozens strung across the wire, the sounds of their trill as they wait for the warmth. What a perfect subject, Verna. I loved it. Best, JohnC

Thanks, JohnC. I really appreciate your kind words. Several just reminded me that I didn't read far enough, so it's back to the drawing board to finish it.

Good poem for the contest. I like the phrase: "concert of praise." Great image to go along with the poem. Well done and good luck with the contest!!!!!!!!!!
