Excellent swap quatrain sonnet. You are one of the best sonnet poets I know. The meter and rhyme is very melodic, like dancing a Walz. Your poem reminded me. When I was little I studied the Bible and took catechism classes, but I told you before. In my text book there were pictures of God writing everything we do in our lives. Each of us have one book and God is omnipresent... seeing everything we do. That was the old Testament, the knew Testament is more about love and forgiveness. But I'm not an expert.

Eell done.

Gypsy

I like the Psalm 16:10, it gives me hope.

I love the presentation too.

Thanks Gypsy, the wonderful thing is, faith rewrites the text from judgement to forgiveness and from wrong as white as snow, bless you My friend, blessings Roy

Hi Roy, what a beautifully written swap quatrain sonnet. A very difficult form as I see it, but you've mastered it wonderfully. It's a joy to read, indeed.
Yes, once we're born we are on a hopefully long journey which only has death as its destination. How we manage that journey is anyone's guess.
I loved the artwork. Ulla :)))

WOW! This is the best swap quatrain I've read in a long time. I loved reading it and will bookmark it. If you're okay with it, I'd like to set it back for the Christian anthology, assuming we ever get enough material to create one.
And I love the Psalm you quoted. It's a great encouragement for me.
Blessings and thank you again,
Deb

I like the style and rhythm of this poem, Roy, and the theme is interesting too. Yes, perhaps we shouldn't worry so much about time, especially as we get older. No matter what we do, we can't stop the inevitable. You've expressed this well.

Wonderful poem, Roy dear, and much food for thought about time. I respect time, but I do not fear it. Nor do I fear death as a Christian. Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs

This is a great poem to remind us that we need to use time wisely. To squander it would me a crime, as we really have so little. Thank you, I always enjoy your poems. :)

Roy,
Your profound poem convicts me at first, for squandering some of my life.
The last stanza rings hopeful and upbeat.
The photo is an excellent choice for your poem.
Good luck with all your writing!
Blessings,
Cindy

I love this colourful swap Quatrain presentation Roy. Life leads to death, but for most of is it is a long journey through time and some of th questions we ponder we will only know after that final breath. Your swap lines work beautifully Roy.
Cheers

Roy, This is a very well written and very true poem you have penned. You used very good descriptive words and very magical looking imagery from the art work you chose. Great scripture also. I enjoyed reading this. Blessings, Teri

Whew! The directions alone make me know I will probably not be writing this poetry form. lol You have handled it well. The repetition works well with your message about time. The visual fits okay. Thanks for sharing your poem.
