Yes, it is true that grief never goes away. The person lost is always missed, but it abates and becomes part of you and your memories. Sometimes it is confusing in the beginning but as you go through grief's stages that goes away too.
This can also be about suffering from depressions.
Keep writing and stay healthy

I like how you broke that down so well in your comments and thank you so very much for that Joan.

I try my best to make clear connections to the poem.
You're very welcome, Ricky.

This is your second writing today, and both are filled with grief and sorrow. I'm with you, my friend and I understand completely how you feel. I lost two sons and now have none. The pain never stops. All you can do is hang in there and take one day at a time. My thoughts are with you always.

To be forced in this club
"The Shittiest Club on Earth "
You first have to lose your son.
And, you get membership twice.
Obviously so you can honor them in your suffer twice.
Twice as much.
And, fortunately writing has become therapeutic for me.
Yes, and believe it or not.
I'm not numb to my words but it has very little effect on my heart.
Yes, time heals to sn extent.
But I love to share and I love even more to write.
And, but I will never forget.
Thanks,
