This is my idea of perfect bliss. You are describing my life when I got to sleep in my grandparents house. I loved the rain on the tin roof and the feather bed and the roaring fire. The only thing I also loved that you didn't mention was the ticking and striking of the mantle clock. Even today i get excited and happy over a thunder storm when I snuggled in bed.
