Regina,
Ah Valentine's and agonies therein. I remember well. I like your simple structure and simple directness. Glad you were able to get through the rest of the day in peace. :>)

This is very nice, and you couldn't know at that early stage of life, doilies surrounding a red heart wouldn't cause a heart to pound save for a mother's heart, but you tried. I understand. And I am so glad peace prevailed.

    Thank you so much, Tom.
    I still recall that Valentine's
Day like it was yesterday. I
agree, my choice of a card
wasn't such a good one, lol!

How sad for you, Regina, at such a delicate age. As you say, you should be proud you told of your love for him. Perhaps he felt the same had you pursued your quest for his attention. Best, JohnC. Great piece!

I am so sorry! I know that's a horrible feeling, but it could have been worse. As you said, at least they let it go. Thanks for having the courage to share, and best wishes to you.

Thank you, jessi. I did go
    through some embarrassment, but they
    spared me of continual
    embarrassment. Some
    nostalgic memories are
    bittersweet. Many blessings
    to you. ~
