It's fun to hear how different families establish holiday traditions. As for me, I was once asked to leave a par three course because I hit three other players over the "course" (see what I did there?) of five holes.
The important thing is all the great memories and the fact that the younger generation will continue this tradition. Until then you're there to beat the drum and award those gold balls and Easter eggs!

Thanks for letting me share my memories. As people moved away, the tournament ended. But we have kept a gathering of family for early December. This year we have rented a house in St. Augustine,Fl.for 4 days. We are excited to see each other. This years hosts sent our itinerary last week. There was no time to sleep! I am sure I will write about it when I get back. Happy holidays! Sarah

I see you joined FanStory in August of 2022. Has anyone told you about font size? If you paste a story into the Fan Story tool, it will default to a tiny font size. Many people have a hard time reading it and will pass up your story because of that, no matter how good it is.
The first thing you must do before anything else is change the setting under the "BODY" box from Basic Editor to Advanced Editor. Then, when you paste your story, you can edit the font size and the font type. I use 18 size.

One suggestion, you use the term "a bite to eat." That is a good southern phrase, but your description of all the food and the anticipation of eating makes me feel you need a more bombastic phrase for the feast that awaits. Good job. Terry.

Thanks Terry, I thought I had answered this. I am so excited about the six as well as being so well received. Any ideas for substitution for "bite to eat"? You know that I am just an old Southern girl!
