This will draw the reader in: "Bessie and Mildred had been watching Sandra walking up and down in the garden, head down and hands clasped behind her, for the past half hour." First of all, I love the regional, era-dialect and the humor that seems to come with for me any: "She's gonna wear that piece of grass out soon." Jay Squires did a screen play series about Miss Fanny. He made me aware how writing with dialect takes some work. Good job.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments about this piece, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I read Miss Fanny, too. And another author who writes using dialect is Humpwhistle (Lee) I use it a lot because the places I've lived in England have their own dialect to a degree, especially those who live out in the countryside. (I never live in towns.) Most of my time-travel books are set around Cornwall, in the South-West of England. If you've never been there, next time you visit England, you should go there. It is full of old-world charm and just walking away from the towns, you are transported to any era because it hasn't changed at all for centuries. I love it there and go often. We live quite close. If you do read the story when it starts after my holiday, you will be reading lots of dialect, especially when these characters go back in time. Thanks again, Liz, I really appreciated your review. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

I find your characters to be funny and charming. I would love to read a story that has them going through time fixing those things that obviously need a do-over.

Oh, Bill, thank you! I will be writing about them both now. Everyone has said yes. Thank you for that lovely sixth star, you're such a nice friend. I have so much to catch up with, of yours and others. I've been through quite a chaotic time recently. I hope I haven't missed the election. I'll be searching though your portfolio soon. Thank you for being a friend, Bill, I really appreciated this. Warmest hugs, Sandra xx

I like your broken English dialogue for Bessie. I don't think some realize how writing that dialogue is pretty difficult. Two women time traveling...humm. I like the idea. It will be something different on here.

Yes! Enjoy your cruise, and then I'm anxious to see what those two get up to. I haven't seen much of Mildred, and I'm really looking forward to seeing more.

Hi Sandra, I'm afraid I don't know Mildred, but I love Bessie, so any story with her in would be delightful. Would the stories each be book length, or short stories? I'm intrigued any way you do it.
It sounds like a fabulous holiday you have planned! I hope it's a fantastic time! Hugs:) Sally

Hi Sally, thank you, you'll love Mildred, she's such a quirky lady. Each story will be a full length novel, well, the same as The Return, around 60,000 words. The Mildred novels were 75,000 words. They are on Amazon, in Kindle as well. You'll love her when you get to know her in my new adventure. I'm so glad you like the idea, my friend and look forward to reading your reviews. Love and hugs, always. Sandra xxxx

So when are you going to write another book? I loved your last one.

I just put the first chapter in the First Chapter Contest. It?s a story in a story. Two friends are on a road trip and one entertains the other by telling a story she?s made up to a song on the radio. It will go back and forth between the girls? trip and the story being made up. It will have content for mature audiences. It?s called ?The Worst That Could Happen?.

I loved it. This is a very interesting style that you make work so well. As for your question, I think this would make a lovely series. I would absolutely continue reading.

OK Miss Sandra, your predicament is causing my curly hair...
to go straight...woe-is-me...

first...get in out of the garden...before the wiring in brain gets over heated...and you stroke out...

and before you, Bessie and Mildred...decide to put Veronica
in a old folks home...you might want to all sit around the
table...have Bessie make some coffee...and see what Veronica has to say...

maybe she could hang out with you and Graham...listen to me...like Graham would be able to see her...what was I thinking...

Hi my amazing friend...you know how I feel about you continuing your Time Travel books/stories with your characters already met...I feel like I know them all...
should have them over for dinner...

for me it will be a bit awkward for Mildred to be without
Veronica...they were a good team...you'll have to come up with ways to bond Bessie and Mildred...I know they know each other...but they never worked together as a team...

what I do know...is you have a Time Traveling imagination...and no matter what you write...it will be awesome...it's a GREAT idea...soooooooo excited...

well presented beautiful you...and I soooooo love the
picture...thanks for letting us know...sending so much
love your way...Linda xxoo

I'll email you in a few days...Johnny will be going home
next week on Friday...and I will have more time to myself...
love xxoo

Right, Mildred and Bessie will be having a chat with Veronica, and don't worry, she will be in the plots, and so will Ann, her daughter.
But first, Mildred and Bessie have to have a chat with them Powers. Mildred knew I'd have a problem with you if I didn't!! 😂😂😂😂

I swear I must have been a time traveller once, and the powers must have decided to give me a rest and right about my friends in this life. I'll probably be one again in my next tour of duty on Earth. Hmm, that does sound about right, don't you think???? 😊😂

Thank you so much, my friend, for this fun, very helpful, most charming review, and the bright golden star! Love you lots and sending hugs as well. xxxxxx Sandra xx

your always soo very welcome you...😊

I have to tell you...in my last reply
    I brought up Lady Ann...but didn't want
to throw in to many characters...you made me night amazing you...Lady Ann was always one of my favorites...

you know...sometimes my creative friend...I question where you do live...and if Graham isn't your psychiatrist at the hospital...
and if your characters aren't all the patients...😂😂😂🤗😘💖🌼🙏 love you soooo many...and sending tons of hugs...xxoo

I'm going to have to question all the staff to see which one let our secret out!! Hmm, you wouldn't like to visit me, would you, you might not be released if you do, but we do have such fun in the padded cells!! 😂🤣😂
I did think of Lady Ann, but she likes it in Heaven with her beloved Peter. Did you know, they got married in Heaven? It was such a lovely service. Jesus was Peter's best man! Of course you would know who it was that married them. 😊🥰 So romantic.
Now, back to Bessie and Mildred, there is going to be a little problem with them. Bessie loves her coffee, but Mildred luuuvvves her cuppa tea!!! Hopefully they'll be able to sort it out. 🥰 We shall see. Love you lots!! 😘🥰xxxxxxx

LMBO...I would love to visit you...
I have moments when I would feel right
    at home...😜💗🌼😘🤗

so happy to hear about Lady Ann's wedding...
    sorry I didn't make it...but it was in Heaven...there's a plus side to that...and well...not such a plus side...

and Bessie and Mildred could turn to Milk...
my favorite drink in all the world...a nice cold glass of milk...🥛💪🥰...love you lots too...off to the showers...and to babysit...xxoo

I have enjoyed Bessie in the last novel, but I don't remember if I have read anything with Mildred in it. I think the idea of them as time travelling detectives is great. Somehow, rectifiers has always had a connotation of being a part or the human anatomy that people sit on. I know, weird, but some words are like that.

Mildred was in my time-travelling trilogy, she started off as a second character but ended up one of the main ones. Everyone loved her funny ways. The only problem will be, Bessie loves her coffee, and Mildred loves her 'cuppa tea!' You'll soon get to know her. Thanks for your input, now you've made me laugh about the 'rectifiers' I'll have to have a think about that now. :)) Thanks, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

Thank you, Ric. I'm quite excited now that everyone has told me to go for it. I can't wait to start it now. But not to the extent that I'd give up my cruise!! Lol. Thanks dear friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx
