Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

As it was in Jesus' day, so it is in ours, such a tragic turn of events, and yes, it starts in childhood, we seem to have charitable institutions that cater for children, (they are are my favourite), because as you've stated, that's when it starts, giving folk value, as Jesus gave value, is where it is most needed, perhaps we'll head it off there. But really if this article convicts one person, it's worked, well done Margaret, blessings Roy

Hello, my friend,

I couldn't have put it in a better way. Childhood is an essential part of a person's life. Child abuse and neglect is the fundamental part of a life of drug abuse, prostitution, and crime. Maybe not all but a big part of it.

I want to live in a country where people are treated with respect and kindness regardless race, gender, and disability.

Thank you for writing about this important issue.

Gypsy hugs

Gypsy, what happens or doesn't happen in a Child's life affects their in so many ways. Even those who "make it out" could probably have done better in life if they only had a decent start. My ideas for an overall of the system are grand and quite costly, but Man would be the winner. We have to start at the Foundation. Thank you for reading and relating to this story.

I can feel this story is written from your heart, probably you've seen something on your way home that made you come up with this heart touching story. You are right we become unsensitive towards the souls that are fallen on the streets. I don't even want to think about winter when many will parish again because we are living in a very cold city.

Thank you Iza for your exceptional review and for sharing your thoughts. Many of these fallen souls' problems began in childhood or when they were born. They never had a fighting chance. Thank you for your heartfelt review. Sincerely, LateBloomer

I agree with you 100% Margaret. I give to organizations that are supposed to be helping them. I have even gone to some and given them a gift certificate at the nearest McDonalds or other places, prayed for them and handed money to children that have shown me those sad eyes. However as in any group, you have those that take advantage of the help which makes a bad name for the others. One time I drove by a family and tried to give them some nice clothes and an extra clean blanket, and they picked through it and threw the rest in the garbage. The attitude that I got in return was a cocky one and I tried not to forget that there is some in every group. Instead of tossing most of it, maybe a better choice would have been to see if the neighbor in the next tent could have used something. When I was first married and had kids, I used old clothes to sew new clothes for my children. So I know that others that have also had to go without did the same to make it, but that is where some bad attitudes arrive from.
We need to remember that they are all children of God, and when we don't do for them, it is like Jesus said, it is the same as if we didn't do it for Him. God loves a generous giver. I have to remind myself, it isn't for me to judge if they are not appreciative.
I think the problem is beyond anything we can do as a society, as there needs to be more educational advantages for those that weren't privileged of learning at home. But that doesn't mean we should stop caring. Attitude is everything!
Margaret, this is a wonderful piece of 'food for thought' and how to keep the less fortunate in our thoughts as we can push for better awareness in our legislature. Beyond that, don't stop counting your blessings, because we just never know...........

My SOTU, thank you for your thoughtful review and for sharing your thoughts which mean a lot to me especially "I think the problem is beyond anything we can do as a society,". Debi, this problem is huge, and it would take a major undertaking to overhaul the system which is broken and which also costs the taxpayers millions of dollars a year. It's time to redirect how/when that money gets used. Thank you, SOTU. Xoxoxo. Margaret ~ LateBloomer

ove and be loved in return? Isn't that something that (what) we all want

Thank you for writing this wisdom for all of us to ponder. After all, God is in charge. No one makes their success alone either. Blessings, Barbara. Xo

Hello Barbara, Thank you for sharing your thoughts which I value and for your exceptional review. Yes, no-one makes it alone. We all need help from time to time, especially the children who are living a tortured existence. Once again, thank you. I appreciate those Six golden stars. Margaret ~ LateBloomer
