Hi, Beth, I've fallen hopelessly behind. I'm so sorry. It will take me a long time to get back up to scratch. I really enjoyed this about the Tucker family connection. Ulla:)))

Thank you Ulla, You don't have to go back and read things that aren't paying. I still have one thing out there that is active. I understand that we can always have time to read everything.

Thanks for understanding that! Ulla:)))

I sure do enjoy learning about where your family came from and finding out how far back we can dig up all the information. I started looking at my own, inspired by you. Then, I came to find out about Mad Dog Maddox the great warrior and decided to stop looking any farther to find out things I'd just as soon not know. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

LOL You must be proud. He could be the inspiration for your stories.
Are you sure he was even real? Has he had his DNA done? I though he was a fictitious character for a movie. Thanks for the review. I'm disappointed I know longer inspire you.

Fascinating write!!!
What a genealogical journey you went on.
I admire your tenacity to find the true origins or your name. People spend years uncovering their family lines.
How long did you spend?
What resources did you use?
I too, took a journey and the things I discovered were absolutely incredible.
Thanks for sharing all that you found land I would love to read more from you.

Thank you for the great review. I've been working on various lines off and on probably 20 years or so. The Tucker line I sorted out recently. Ancestry.com has so much information but they had the wrong information on the Tuckers. If I had had my DNA done I might never have realized it was wrong.

This is wonderful! I love that you are writing about your genealogy on this website. And the journey of your records in this piece is so fascinating. I loved reading about it. And I love your excitement that comes through loud and clear about little nuggets of family history you have uncovered.

Thank you Michaela. I really appreciate you reading my chapter on the Tucker. I'm enjoying tracing my family lines and writing what I am able to find out about them.

This is a really interesting chapter, Beth. I understand your frustration with making a wrong connection. It took me three years to find the right husband for Jim's grandmother because there was a woman with the same name who married a different man of the same name. Great detective work.
I found this sentence confusing. You might want to take another look at it. "One of his daughters, Linsey Alva, my great grandmother on the Weir side of the family, Simeon and his wife Elizabeth had died before Grandpa was born, so he didn't get to know his grandparents."

Thank you Judy. I really appreciate your review and insights. The information I wrote is correct in the sentence you question but I see it is confusing so I reworks it to make it be more easily understood. Thanks for pointing that out.

Comment from Wayne Fowler
Nicely done. Good work.
Due to dominant and recessive genes, family attributes and characteristics can be completely undone in one generation, particularly if a couple has only girls and they then have only boys. In most cases, the maternal grandfather is out of the picture, and the paternal grandfather) of the baby boys DNA controls, passed down through Dad.
Best wishes.

Thank you Wayne. It is true what you say. My children have had their DNA done as well and I'm always a little surprised to find one of my children shares a lot from certain ancestors but almost nothing from others who are my fifth or sixth cousins. I guess that's what makes my children so different from each other.

This is an intriguing trip down nostalgia lane. Exploring history is always fascinating. The text here conveys a clear image of the past, the origins of a world colonized by imperialists and very brave explorers. This sample is well written, it draws this reader to pursue the whole work. I hope you keep on writing. Worked for me, well done.

You did a great job, Beth, with this interesting chapter.
I understand the painstaking time to research and often
find errors even on the most acclaimed sites, It's then
difficult to go back and find what needs to be changed.
It seems you did that well, and found some interesting,
new ancestors. You have so many your family tree is huge.
I like the relationship to William the Conqueror and the
Battle of Hastings. How are you organizing all of you info--
into a book?
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Thank you Jan, I appreciate your nice comments. I've started with the closest family relations like my grandparent that the later great grandparents. Right now it is just lose chapters but I need maybe to rearrange and put in a table of content.
