Amen. We have a day for mourning tomorrow. Asked to spend a minutes silence at 11am. Never will there be another Elizabeth. She said once "I only wanted to be a farmer." Love, Kay.

This lady deserves a poem and it is amazing how long she was queen, the longest reigning monarch. Your words show how much she meant to you as she did to so many. Excellent tribute to a wonderful lady.

I too remember being at a similar thing at Victoria Park race course in Adelaide. She was the Mother of the Commonwealth and we watch history unfold. A lovely memorial poem K.

Oh yes, she was a devout believer, anyone as gracious, loving, and committed to her duty and devotion as she was deserves all the accolades we can afford her, I had the privilege of forming a Boy Scout guard of honour for her back in 1954, a great loss to Australia, Lord rest her, she deserves her crown, well done Kay, blessings Roy

She once said she wanted to be a farmer. Well, her precious Anne is a farmer. The Queen was chosen by God to bring nations together. Blessings, Kay XX

Yes, I feel her loss. She has been in my life for sixty-nine years. I never got the pleasure to meet her. Yes, she was a mother to all of us. Now she and Phillip are looking over us from heaven. Thank you for sharing this great tribute to an incredible woman. Have a great weekend.

Hello Carolyn, Thanks for reading. There will never be another Elizabeth. Sent by god to bring nations together. And I loved her sense of humor. Blessings, Kay.

A very nice tribute to Queen Elizabeth. I liked the way you started the poem with your personal experience of seeing the Queen pass by you in a crowd. Well done.

Hello my friend, Her death has touched all the nations she visited. I wonder if Charles can follow her brilliant career. Blessings, Kay.

This was a great farewell to a great lady, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Kay. I really appreciated your words of the poem as well as those of the narrative notes. I saw her when she arrived in Canada and years later when I saw her in England at Buckingham Palace. She was riding a horse. Very well done and sadly but greatly enjoyed.

Hello Alie, You were most fortunate to see her riding a horse. She was a brilliant horsewoman. I remember her sitting side saddle on Winston for the Trooping of the Colour. She adored horses and so do I. Big changes coming now. I wonder if Charles can even come close to her spectacular reign? Maybe the monarchy will fade away gradually. The TV said, she (money wise) was worth $5 hundred million pounds! Blessings, K XX

You are so very welcome, Kay. I truly doubt that he would have the grace and integrity. Blessings.

Aussie,

What a lovely tribute to one of the last people of grand stature. She was a perfect queen in every way and was beloved around the world, even by those of us who don't support monarchies. Condolences for the loss of your Queen.

Sue

Thank you Susan. Many things will fade away now. I don't think Charles is up to the job. I think it's time for us to be a republic. Blessings, Kay.

All things change with time, and she certainly was glue for the commonwealth.

I don't like Charlie for what he and Camilla did to Diana Queen of Hearts. K xx

I agree. But a very complex situation.

Charles is an adulterer. It should be young William and Kate taking the throne. I think gradually Oz will become a republic. K xx

    True. That bothers me, too.

Yes, she was loved and respected by the vast majority of Australians. She fulfilled her promise to serve her peoples whole-heartedly, and with compassion, dignity and perseverance. You have written a beautiful tribute.

Hello Wendy, Not unexpected at her age; all long livers. Still a shock when we heard the news. The whole world is in mourning. There will never be another Elizabeth. Charlie couldn't fill her shoes. Maybe we will become a republic? Blessings, Kay.

Charles has a lot to live up to, and I doubt he ?lol ever be as respected or as much loved as E.
    Probably will become a
Republic down the track I expect, but I don?t think it will be rushed.

After what he and Camilla did to Diana was disgusting. I don't like Charlie, he's weak and self-centered, we will see. K xx

I agree totally. William will be better as a king, but who knows how long he?ll have to wait. Charles won?t stand down now he?s waited so long.

Hmm, many wish he would fall of his perch! And as far as Camilla goes, she ain't no Queen. Both are adulterers. Cynical? Many think the same. Grr.
