Hi Chris, thank you so much for catching up and finishing my story. I'm so happy you enjoyed reading it. Thank you, my friend, for the golden star, I really appreciate it.
I completely understand that life and family come first, they have to!! They are my prime concern, and I'll put my family ahead of everything.
So, you might have caught up with my story, but you will never catch me up in years!! I'll be 76 next year, so you have years before you reach the stage of being old. :)) I wish you the very best and the happiest Birthday, my friend, and make sure you enjoy it! You'll never be 70 again!! Lol!
Thank you, again, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xxxx

Sandra,
What a nice way to end things. It matters that everyone in the past got to have their happy - or deserved - endings. Which only left our girl -- and now, she has her own happy ever after! Just right. Thanks - great job!
Congrats!

Hi Robin, thank you so much for this lovely review. I'm glad you enjoyed the ending. Love and hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx
Sorry I'm later replying, I've been glued to the news channel since the death of our Queen. Now she is back with her husband, the love of her life.

Hello Sandra,
Who would have thought, Miles and Meg's great-grand son. It looks like Margot is going to be well taken care of. And who knows, maybe there'll a daughter named Lady Bessie Brandon.
All the details have been wrapped up nicely. It's always good to leave the readers happy, and the main character too. Though I'm still partial to the name 'Niles.' :)
And Bessie, she appears to be a fairy godmother, like in Cinderella, bippity, boppity boo. And best wishes to you.
All's well.
Robert

I was going to give Miles the great-grandson, another name, but then remembered the first born son always took the father's Christian name. Can you imagine if I'd given him a different name and they started cuddling, and Margot calls out, Oh Miles!!! Grounds for divorce? LOL
Thank you so much for all your wonderful reviews, Robert, they've been fun, serious, helpful and sometimes sent my story in a different direction. I've appreciated them all. Thank you also for the sixth star, it looks so nice up there!! Oh, Bessie ... Mildred ... Read Sunday's post. Warm hugs, my dear friend. :)) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra I can't believe we reached the end of your story. Last week's chapter surprised me the most. I did not have Lucy on my radar. I think it was interesting that this all took place in the same day. I was sad to see Bessie go. Maybe she checks in from time to time in the future! I hope you have a new story brewing in your head. I very much enjoyed the whole book.
I hope you have a lovely week. Hard to believe it's September already! Where did the summer go? At least we have very summer like weather still. Take care my friend! Hugs :) Sally

Hi Sally, thank you so much for the lovely words you've said about my book. Your support has been incredible, and I can't thank you enough. The sixth star is always a lovely surprise, and the cherry on top of this fabulous review. Thank you, my dear friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx
My head is buzzing with ideas, but I have a problem which to write. So, I've had my characters, Bessie and Mildred (she is from my time travel trilogy) get together and have a chat. You'll read that on Sunday, and what I write will depend on what the readers say to these two ladies. You must read it, your vote will count!! Lol. xxxxx

The ending and the beginning of another life for Margot. I have to ask, where did you get the idea for your book? It sure captivated each reader as we read each chapter. A suspenseful, happy ending.

Thank you so much for the sixth star, Rosemary, I'm delighted you enjoyed my last chapter.
As for 'where did I get my idea from,' I honestly can't tell you. I've written 4 time-travel novels, plus 4 more for my grandson. Everyone of them came from the tiniest idea that evolved and changed as I wrote them. I do tend to be into nice ghosts who want help. I'm so pleased with your comment saying it captivated the readers. That's such a nice compliment. Thank you so very much, my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

What a fractured love story. All the elements of a great tale are there.
Several concerns:
Para 4, 4th sentence: (they) should be (they's) to match the vernacular of the rest of the paper.
Chapter 36
Para 4, after R.I.P., 1st sentence: SUGGEST changing (me's self) to (me self) or (me's) Me's agrees with (you's) in the next sentence and throughout the paper.
Para 13, after R.I.P., 1st sentence: (your's) should be (you's) to match the vernacular of the rest of the paper.
Para 25, after R.I.P., 4th sentence: (any more) should be (anymore)
Para 25, after R.I.P., 6th sentence: SUGGEST changing (her's self) to (herself) or her's) Her's agrees with the rest of the possessive nouns throughout the paper.
After *****
Para 3, 2nd sentence: Remove comma after (shirker)
Para 4, 2nd sentence: Remove comma after (house)
Para 10, 2nd sentence: (alright) should be (all right) Alright and all right are essentially the same word, but "all right" is the correct spelling for standard English. Most editors and teachers consider "alright" to be a misspelling, all together.
Terrific ending. Margot deserved her prince. I only hope he sees her as his "Cinderella."
Excellent story, great descriptions. Even though I came in late I gathered the gist of the story and eventually got caught up with this ghostly tale.
Excellent job.

I'd be tempted to give you a six just for the word 'nincompoop' - haven't seen that written down in a while! In reality, though, this is a beautifully-realised final chapter. It can be difficult to summon that sense of conclusion without it feeling either arbitrary or excessively extended. You managed to find the balance and deliver us a happy conclusion without needing to stretch credulity or do anything too random.
Congratulations! And, as always, I very much enjoyed the read.

I like that word, too. I used it a lot back in the mid 20th century! Yep, I'm that old, and hate it!! Lol.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, Mike, and for giving me the sixth star, (even if it was for 'nincompoop!' :))
I'm glad you liked my final chapter, that one, and the first chapter, are the important ones. The first chapter, to draw them in, the last, so they remember it. (hopefully)
Thank you for that golden star, that was really kind of you! I'm delighted you have enjoyed my story. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
(what do you think of our new PM?)
-
You're welcome - it was thoroughly deserved. :-). I'll wait and see about the new PM. In my experience, if I take a step back, it really doesn't seem to make much difference who holds the post. Of course, being a civil servant, I would think that, since I'm around the people who actually have to run the country on a day to day basis.

Wow - what a wonderful ending! I knew you would come up with a solution to Margo's lost love problems, and as usual, you nailed it.
Kudos, my friend. I'm so proud of you!
