Wow! What an imagination! And it sounds familiar as I imagined the same things as a kid - not now. Can't imagine what an overnight with you would be like. It could be scary or lots of fun!

Sparkling in your poem:
-You have a very vivid imagination. Gift of descriptions.
-You paint a scene reminiscent of some of worst nightmares, that come alive as the most gruesome horror movies because of what always happens next.
-My husband would not be much help either in these situations, screaming through his own nightmares....
My favourite line: Our oversized armchair, transforms into a silent crouched panther, laying in wait. This scene alone would make a great psychological thriller.

Great poem. Your description of what you saw in those mundane items was priceless. Most children and a few adults would say you described perfectly what they have seen. Hard to sleep with so many people and things in the room. Best wishes for winning the contest.
