Roy,
This poem has good end and internal rhyme tor remind us that through Jesus's death and resurrection we have the gift of His love, grace and forgiveness of our sin. It is something that should keep us on our path.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Joan

No one without sin, no, not one. I enjoyed your poem as I always do. Man may have free choice; but it's how he applies that choice that matters. God gave it to us, and look at the mess we have created across the world. And all the fake religions worshiping made-up gods, that annoys me. Thanks Roy.

There is no back door to salvation. No dark alley or password to sneak on through. Either we atone for our sins or we remain unforgiven. Beautifully shared!

Well said. Faith in Christ alone. Not in the worthless idols of men's lives, not in one's own goodness or efforts, not in governments or powers or good causes ... just in His atoning sacrifice. A fine poem.

Thank you again for this gospel message in your well crafted poem with internal rhymes woven in every line. I especially liked:
"The blood of Christ has paid sin's price It washes sin away.
It has no taint though doubt may faint. Resist what flesh may say."

As always, a wonderfully written, touching piece of work. Your writing is always so beautiful. I did notice in your author's notes that you have quite a few "gremlins", as people have told me they are called. You might want to go in and clean that up, but otherwise another poem that should be a big hit.

A well-written poem. The language is plain, but forceful. The rhyme scheme is tight and unforced. The poem stays on point. The images are clear.

Suggestion:

The heart deceives and lets lust rise â?" don't be the devil's tool.
As you notice above this site sometimes puts in unwanted symbols. I find emdashs and apostrophes often trigger them. I also noted some in your comments.

Thanks for a good read.

I think that in each of us in life we have been dealt with good things and bad things. I only remember the good memories. It is how life is that not everything is perfect. Very positive message. I am proud of you for writing this poem. Exceptional work! No grammatical errors.

You did a great job, Roy, with your informative poem.
Your end rhymes and touches of internal thyme worked
well. Your message is loud and clear. Man may try to excuse
away his sins in various ways. However, there is only one
true way. Until that is believed and acted on, nothing will
change. Those who sin will continue and believe their actions
will be forgiven by other ways--but they won't.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Those who think casually about the flesh--believing themselves above temptation--REALLY need to remember that they CAN be tempted, that only the Lord can guide us right, can shield us. Your poem is so moving and reverent.
