This is beautifully worded, and your rhyme is excellent, especially the internal rhyme. This is so reassuring, especially the line "it's only grace from God that counts. Even though you are imperfect, you can always call on God for help. judi

This is a profound poem of trusting Him that if repentance is the answer, he will forgive. However, the sin's damage remains and may be afflicted on whomever until the end. I will have to ponder more. Best, JohnC.

For years I thought "Don't take the name of the Lord your God in vain" meat do not swear. I have since learned, and your poem validates it, that it means don't call upon the Lord when you don't need him or when it isn't called for.

Very nice tribute to our Lord and Savior.

"Though you may pray and plead all day in any other name,
you ask in vain though clouds may rain, none other wipes sin's blame."
Your words are so true. Jesus said He was the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one could come to the Father except through Him. There is no other name given under heaven though which we can be saved.

Such true words-arranged so carefully by design in rhyme and meter to produce a worthy witness of faith in the One alone who can save, and I'm always glad to know that Jesus did not want any to perish. Excellent poem!

Grace is given freely to those who believe. God's love for us made sure of that. I like the way you compared it to nature. That was a good idea and one everybody could understand. Thank you for sharing.

Roy,

This is a well written, powerful poem about the nature of both faith and grace. It can all be very confusing to non-believers, but it is really so simple. But add the relationship between faith and works and it becomes more complex. (James 2:18, 2:20, 2:26.) If we accept grace as a reality, that bolsters our faith and it is that faith that makes us want to behave in a Godly manner.

Sue

You are such a very accomplished rhythmic poet.
I love your wisdomy messages.
When down ,
The only way is up.
That alone is a ladder to climb up
Like Jacob.
All you need now is a donkey's quarter.
