Really like how this puts out the feeling of being sick feeling like you're stuck in a loophole almost.

The use of word choice really powers it through more and more as the poem goes on.

Nice work.

Loved your poem and the picture, too! Yes, it becomes crazy the way that the scammers keep getting after us. I always screen my phone calls if I don't recognize the number!

I wait to hear the voice of the caller. If it is not my doctor or one of his nurses, my family or a friend. I do not pickup.

I have tried blocking these callers. The problem is that each caller has many phones--can't block all the numbers. My favorite is the one who wants to talk to me about a credit card I don't have! Your expressive poem will surely resonate with many readers.

They are pretty hard to ignore landlines and iPhones so and it seemed there was a phone ringing all the time and everywhere .Actually I hate talking on the phone anyway. So happy to have spam & scam control. Thanks for the great poem!

Thank you for your ongoing support. Is it not great to have family you did not know you had. Family even though not biological, yet family in love and support which is even more powerful. Why? Because is natural and not forced or bound by obligation. Love you Debi Deb.

It seems that most calls I get are from either telemarketers or, alternatively charities, now if I don't recognise the phone call I just let it ring out, but it's not discouraging them. But one day....beautifully written my friend, well done, blessings Roy

I thought the picture was wonderfully appropriate. For that matter, so is the message. My phone is off right now. I got paid today, but I haven't contacted them to turn it back on yet because I am enjoying the peace and quiet from it not ringing all day with that mess. The only thing that kept me from giving six stars was the fact that I found the flow to be a bit off. Other than that - terrific - and the flow issue might just be me.

Thank you so much. Wile I appreciate receiving six stars that is not my goal in writing. My biggest hope is always that I caused a reaction in the person reading what I wrote. Even if the reaction is unfavorable. I succeeded by causing a reaction.

I liked your poem, and I certainly agree with your feelings of nuisance phone calls. I've wondered what would be in a person's mind that would make them want to be disliked by everyone, but I've a feeling, for the most, it's a desire for easy money. I heard someone say not long ago, "How is it they can put a man on the moon, but they can't stop intrusive phone calls?"

Money is the only possible answer. Certainly no one does this for fun.

I like the picture chosen. I debated whether to get a land line and suffer twice as much mental anguish. How true are these words:
All day long, they're ringing my phone
I wish they would leave me alone
Then I feel sorry, confused, and angry. I wonder if the person calling has been entrapped in a nonpaying job, or a criminal trying to trap me for the money I don't have. Abolish telemarketing and the other name scammers. Well done.

Thank you. Of course I feel sympathy for people who are just trying to maker a living. I just refuse to be a victim, no matter what the victimizers desire may be.

Oh, Nomi, my friend, I feel sorry for you, as I have the same problem. How all these places get our numbers is no surprise. Our computers' microphones and cameras are on all the time, even standing out on the patio doesn't make us safe, everything we say being listened to. Google and all the others compiling terabytes of data every millisecond, and they get all that information for nothing, then trade or sell it. We are continuously raped by the information highway, for free. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Ric. It is an everyday struggle. If iI can make to noon without being bombarded with calls, it is a good day, a very good day.
