I'm a ruby but my husband is not a sapphire. I like sapphire and wrote a Haiku about it. You are catch up by keeping writing Haikus for a few days. Haikus are easier than other forms of poetry.

My husband was sapphire, and I am emerald. We loved, we fought, we laughed. We were like day and night. We did not have anything in common for forty-eight years. However, we fought the fights. It was hard to live together, and it was hell living apart. I wish to God, he was here. I miss and love him.

Two gems so meaningful in romance. I cannot critique the Haiku structure because I'm new to it. However. I would have partnered the sapphire with diamonds. Rubies, especially the blood type color cAn stand alone. However, I still like your ending line "perfect partnership." Michael
