Sometimes that black curtain seems to never close. i can shut my eyes, curl up under the blankets, cuddle my wife, but still, it eludes me. Sometimes you jsut cannot turn that thinking machine off.

This is a well-conceived poem. There's a lot to like about this entry. I like the different colored lines that are large and easy to read. I like how you found a clever way of using theatrical terms to talk about your going to sleep process. The visual fits perfectly. I think this is a very good entry. Good Luck!

Excellent entry, we can all relate to this poem. I spend many sleepless nights thinking about my own problems, and the world situation. I wish the curtain would never open, then I'd be dead, and that's not an alternative.

Thank you so much for a wonderful review, and also for the six stars. My mind also seems to just become very alert when it is time to go to sleep. Sometimes I try to imagine black curtains like in a theatre descending. Not dying just sleeping. It is very wearying not to get refreshing sleep. Thank you again.
