No problems whatsoever, no SPAGs and you kept to the writing prompt exactly. On top of that I love limericks.
This post would benefit greatly by increasing the font size. I would suggest at least a 16 perhaps even an 18.
Good topic, truth be told there are many Gertrudes lurking anywhere ad everywhere.

I haven't learned how to make fonts larger!

When you go to post your piece, at the bottom left-hand corner there is a message something like "Use Advanced Editor". Try that once and you can do all sorts of things with your writing.
Don't title or post your article before you do that though, because it doesn't carry through. You have to post after you get to the advanced screen. Try it.

Thank you.

Was Gertrude a politician or an FBI agent? Nancy has said, tell Alice long enough and often enough and it will eventually be believed. Gotta love our representatives

I think maybe you spotted Gertrude. Thanks very much for the review.

This was quite humorous. But unfortunately there is always a Gertrude. ALWAYS. The rhythm was perfect . The verses were interesting. Loved the sneezing bits of gossip until it turned into a full blown disease. Great poem.

HAHAHAHAAH!! This was so fun! We all know at least one Gertrude, do we not!! I have a friend, though, who's very positive, and her take on the Gertrude in her neighborhood was this: I'm grateful for her. Someday, if ever I fall down my basement steps, she'll be the one who calls 911 right away!
Everything in life is about attitude.
Anyway, terrific entry. I bet it does well. (Loved the pic you chose for it, too.)

Thank you so much for a lovely review. I love those, like your friend, who can find good in everything.

Same. It's my favorite trait of hers, and I try to emulate it.

I enjoyed this one immensely. I have watched how destructive gossip can become and have seen innocent people hurt. Sometimes I think most of the "news" isn't much more than gossip. Well done.

I enjoyed reading your poem. It read like limericks, which I love. Gertrude really sounds like a character. Thanks for sharing this, and best wishes to you.

Thank you, Jessi, Dear. Yes, they're all limericks. There was another one or two, but the contest said 3-5 stanzas.
